Warren, Ohio is home to the world’s third largest gun store chain, with over 200 locations across the United States. The Warren Gun Store began as a small store on Market Street in Warren in 1892. The first handgun sale took place at the store on October 9th of that year. The store was open for business everyday until January 1st of 1895 when it closed due to a lack of customers. On November 15th, 1896, the Warren Gun Store reopened under new ownership and management. In 1897, they became one of the first stores in America to sell shotguns and pistols. In 1912, they opened their own ammunition shop and also started selling rifles and shotguns. In 1919-1920, the Warren Gun Store added a rifle range which served as the training ground for many future police officers. From 1922-1969, they were known as simply “The Warren Gun Shop”. From 1969-2002 they were known as “The WarrenGunStore” In 2002, The Warren Gun Store merged with another gun store chain called Dick’s Sporting Goods to formDick’s Sporting Goods Incorporated (DGS). DGS continues to operate under its original name today without any connection to Dick's Sporting Goods Incorporated (DGS).

Warren is a small town in theuy of Warren County, Ohio, United States. The population was 1,867 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Cleveland Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first settler in what is now Warren was George A. Smith in 1813. He and his family moved to present-day Warren from New York City two years later. The community name may be derived from either "Warrant" or "Warren". The first post office opened in 1836, and it retained that name until 1907 when it changed to "Warren". In 1851, the village had a schoolhouse and one store; by 1901 there were three businesses and thirty-four residents. In 1928, the town had an ice cream parlor and movie theater; both closed in 2009 but remain extant as private property within the community. The history of Warren begins with early pioneers who began settling here around 1800s for various reasons: farming, trade with other settlements nearby, or simply seeking escape from crowded cities such as New York City during the 1830s and 1840s (the location became known as "The Gilded Age"). Over time many different businesses have been built including stores, blacksmith shops, churches (including one built on land donated by James Kapp), doctor's practices, schools (one serving grades Pre-K through 12th grade), a grocery store (now closed), two factories (which produced aluminum cans for General Motors before folding), some housing units/condos (still standing today), a golf course/creek which served as a dumping ground for local garbage prior to being filled with earth to create an open space today used for programming amenities such as soccer and fitness classes etc., remains of an old sawmill dating back to 1790 which functioned until 1924 when it was replaced by a new mill that still operates today providing woodchips for fireplaces etc., water tower/pump house erected circa 1915 when electrification came into effect in this area making life much easier for folks living near large dams supplying waterpower used extensively throughout Northeast Ohio during this time period,) numerous local festivals which take place every year like Pumpkinfest Parade on October 25th & 26th followed closely by cornhole Tournament held on November 3rd & 4th followed by apple picking festival Held on November 10th thru 12th among many others! In recent years there has been talk about building an interchange between I-271 across busy downtown Cleveland Heights - currently under construction - and I-77 just east of town center should these highways improve so traffic can flow more easily through town limits instead of exiting onto outlying streets then entering again trying to get back onto I-271? A future project that could bring much needed commerce & development not only locally but also along I-271 would be very beneficial indeed!

Warren was one of the original towns in Sandusky County, Ohio. It was founded by Isaac Warren and his wife Sarah in 1796. The town was named for General George Washington.
