Urbana, Ohio is a city in the U.S. state of Ohio and the capital of the Urbana-Champaign metropolitan area. The population was 149,569 at the 2010 census and is expected to grow to 248,000 by 2030. Harvester then sent a group of men back overland to explore this area which became known as Miamisburg because of these efforts. Averell Harvester also donated land near Washington Park which became home to Illinois State University (ISU). This land would later be part of Champaign Township when it was organized in 1837 into Champaign-Urbana County. In 1840, ISU moved from Miamisburg to its current site on Wilson Boulevard south of Old State Road 2 across from UIUC campus where it remains today as one of America's leading research universities with more than 30 faculties and nearly 100 undergraduate degrees granted annually..
