In response to the city's increasing need for police officers, Upper Arlington established a Taser Unit in 1984. The unit was initially manned by two officers, with the addition of a third officer in 1990. In 2003, the unit was expanded to four officers. The Taser has been used extensively in Upper Arlington since its inception. It has been used as an alternative to pepper spray and Baton Rouge tasers. The use of tasers is thought to be less harmful than other forms of force and is often successful at ending conflicts quickly. The Taser has also been used in protests and riots, most notably during the Cleveland Browns' 1999 season opener against Baltimore Ravens. During that game, several protesters were shot with tasers before being subdued by police using pepper spray and tear gas. While the use of tasers may not have resulted in any fatalities, it did cause many injuries including one protester who was left paralyzed from the waist down after being struck with a Baton Rouge taser

In some cases they may also be used as decelerators or stun grenades to incapacitate persons who have attacked or threatened officers or other individuals using force or violence. There is no one-size-fits-all answer when it comes to using tasers; each situation must be addressed on an individual basis. However, general tips that can help reduce potential risks include always wearing a helmet while operating ataser devices and being aware of your surroundings when using them – especially if you are facing someone who is armed with a weapon

Upper Arlington is a town in the southern part of Ohio, about 25 miles south of Columbus. The population was 20,912 at the 2010 census. Upper Arlington is one of the ten townships in North Olmsted County. The first settlers in Upper Arlington were Presbyterian ministers and their families who came from Scotland in 1796. In 1814, a group of Germans settled here and started a large dairy farm that still exists today. In 1821, a post office was established here and the town name was changed to Upper Arlington after Major General John Armstrong Strong, an officer in the Union army during the American Civil War. In 1861, Lower Arlington became engaged in Confederate service as part of the “Ohio Valley Brigade” under General Reynolds Randolph. This brigade fought at Valparaiso Heights and Purvis Island before being disbanded on July 11th due to lack of reinforcement from United States forces stationed nearby at Fort Fisher. Afterward Lower Arlington reverted back to its original name with no change made to its government or municipal structure until 1865 when it became one of four townships within North Olmsted County (along with Elyria, Macedonia, and Warren) when it was organized as part of newly created Union territory following the end of the Civil War. During Reconstruction period (1867-1923), several businesses were founded here including A&P grocery store #2 which remains open today as Wellspring Market; meatpacking company White Horse Provisioning Company#1; dry goods store Fidelity & Trust Co.; Singer Sewing Machine Factory; Wernicke's Pharmacy; local school District No 2 Middleton-Holland School District No 1 (now known as Muskingum County High School). The community experienced rapid growth beginning in World War II when many factories located along I-70 near this area produced war materials such as munitions, aircraft parts and tanks for America’s military allies like Great Britain and China while also creating jobs for locals by producing goods for national retailers like JBL Jay Robinson Radio Corporation which manufactured radios for US troops overseas during World War II Additionally residents began construction of homes starting with small single family homes on quarter acre lots although more recently larger developments have been erected such as: The Park Place Shopping Center – an 8 million dollar project completed in 2006 adjacent to Chappel Hill Elementary School off I-70 just east of where Upper Arlington High School used to be located Finally many new amenities have been added such as: two high schools - One opened in 2007 named after Stroudsburg native Purple Heart recipient Alvin Hargrave Jr./Oscar Robertson III while another opened up north near Marymount University called Uptown Middleton Academy which offers programs leading up to college level Finally much progress has been made regarding redevelopment plans for this once struggling community detailed below including but not limited to: creation/destruction/replacement/upgrading/adoption/empowermentofLocalCommunityResidents etc… Lower Arlington lost its status within North Olmsted County following its incorporation into Muskingum County upon statehood in 1923 however it regained some degree o prestige due largely to recent redevelopment plans announced by county officials over the past few years that have seen many job opportunities created including: development of a new park adjacent to Chappel Hill Elementary School off I-70 just east of where Upper Arlington High School used to be located among other things; introduction/promotionofcommunitydevelopmentfundraisersamongcounty OfficialstoPromote Progress;;adoptionofCommunityPlanning ordinancewhichallows ResidentsToDirectGovernmentActionetc…

Upper Arlington, Ohio is a town in Stark County, Ohio, United States. The population was 11,711 at the 2010 census. Upper Arlington is part of the Cleveland metropolitan area. It was founded in 1814 by Captain James Monongahela and his wife Mary as an independent settlements on the eastern side of Lake Erie. The name "Upper Arlington" was chosen because it included all of what is now Stark County except for Medina Township to its south and east. In 1827, Upper Arlington became part of the new state of Ohio after becoming one of the first towns in that state to be created from land taken from Native Americans. In 1854, Upper Arlington's original courthouse burned down and was rebuilt at a more modest price with Federal funds. The townspeople also built a large Presbyterian church which still stands today. In 1957, Upper Arlington voters passed a resolution endorsing annexation by Cleveland into the city limits of Cleveland proper due to strong economic ties between both cities. This annexation led to twoKeyBank Arena opening in downtown Lower Arlington in 1959 and Quicken Loans Arena opening just north of downtown in 1976; these were among the largest arena projects ever undertaken in Ohio when they occurred. The town has experienced many changes throughout its history including being annexed by Cleveland numerous times (most recently twice), experiencing significant growth during World War II due to General Motors’ production nearby and then decline during the postwar years as manufacturing moved away from Northeast Ohio altogether. However, recent growth has been again spurred by several marquee developments such as plans for Onerust Place near downtown Lower Arlington and development around Highbridge Park including shops, restaurants and housing units; these have helped make Upper Arlington one of Greater Cleveland's most active communities overall despite some challenges such as high levels of poverty (the percentage of residents living below poverty lines has increased significantly over time).

Upper Arlington is a census-designated place in the Township of Richardson in Stark County, Ohio, United States. The population was 6,853 as of the 2010 census. Upper Arlington is located on the east side of Dublin Road between State Route 161 and Mentor Road. It is bordered by Dublin to the north and west, Mentor to the south, and Athens to the east.
