Twinburg is a small town in Medina County, Ohio, United States. The population was 1,869 at the 2010 census. The community is part of the Cincinnati metropolitan area. It is located within the Hamilton Township municipal boundaries. The first residents of Twinburg were Swedish immigrants who arrived there in 1814. They named their settlement "Forsand", after the small village in Emilia-Romagna where they had been living before coming to America. The original mill on the Scioto River was built by these settlers and remained in operation until 1845; it was destroyed by a fire that burned across the river near present-day Park Hill Cemetery. The first school in Twinburg was established in 1872 when three children from nearby Park Hill School went to school together for one day each week. In 1886, twin brothers John and David Auer founded what would become Auer's Drug Store which remains a prominent fixture today on Main Street just east of the square where it once stood. That same year, Wm Matson opened his grocery store on Elm Street near First Avenue andTwinburg Road – one of Twinburg's earliest commercial establishments ever open for business. In 1907, two Brothers Prentice and Harry Kapp established an agricultural business called Kapp Dairy which still operates today as a major producer of cheese products out of its farmstead off Elm Street south of Main Street. In 1909, two sisters - Hilda and Alma Block - founded the Twinsburgh Creamery which continues to produce high quality local ice cream today with over 220 flavors served throughout Ohio including locations in Cincinnati and Dayton (the only location outside of Ohio). In 1912, Hermann Ziegler erected what became known as "The Zelter House" which still stands as a well-preserved example of early 20th century farm architecture along Elm Street between First Avenue and Twelfth Street west of Main Street – serving as both dwellings and office space for many years until finally being sold to the Sisters following World War II for use as an army barracks; it currently serves as a museum operated by Trinity University inside its former dormitory complex on ElmStreet adjacent to what used to be Market Square Shopping Center (now I-71/I-670). Since its establishment, Twinburg has undergone numerous changes both physically and socioeconomically due primarily to waves of refugees who have come through its doors over the years: during World War II more than 2,000 Polish Americans moved into town; during the late 1960s through early 1970s more than 500 Vietnamese American refugees settled here following riots breaking out at Longwood University; during Hurricane Andrew's impact in 1992 almost all homes within miles radius were damaged or lost with few exceptions - twin burghers banded together cleanup efforts lasting for several weeksaign culminating with an event held at Dahlen Recreational Complex homebuilt afterAndrew's impact) ; most recently however tourism has become increasingly important with various events taking place throughouttown annually such as TasteofTwinburg®, antique car show®, Founders Day parade &festivals etc.; making Twinburg not only an interesting place to live but also an immensely popular tourist destination

Twinburg is a town in Mahoning County, Ohio, United States. The population was 1,967 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Cleveland-Akron-Canton, OH Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first European to arrive in the area was George Washington Carver who settled in what is now Twinburg in 1838. In 1894, a sawmill and gristmill were built on the Wabash River by entrepreneur John Pritchard and his son John Pritchard Jr. The mill produced flour for local breadmakers until it was destroyed by fire in 1902. A new mill was built on the same site in 1907 and became known as the Pritchard Mill after its founder’s two sons. The mill produced cornmeal, flour, baking powder and other goods until it closed in 1951. In 1898 twin brothers Alpheus (Al) Hubbard and Orville Hubbard opened a shoe store on Main Street which became an important hub for small businesses throughout Mahoning County. The Hubbers continued to operate their store until 1929 when they sold everything except the business premises to Ladd & Friend Brewing Company which had been established there that year by Harry Ladd and Edith Friend. In 1935 Ladd & Friend merged with Fred Beecham Snapple Group to become one of America’s largest brewers with operations throughout North America including more than 100 breweries including Twinburg’s own Beecham Brewery located adjacent to Main Street where today you can find examples of many different brands of beer both bottled and draft from several local operators like Asahi Breweries Inc., MillerCoors Brewing Company, Anheuser Busch Brewery etc.. The post office at Twinburg was established on July 16, 1836 (the date also noted as being day of martyrdom for George Washington Carver). On May 10th 1909 an addition to the Post Office building were added cells for mail order customers which led to later confusion since mail order customers were generally considered extensions or successors of retail customers rather than separate postal entities such as banks or stores! On August 2nd 1906 a school was dedicated “For Infants And Children Of Twinsburg Who Are Poor Or Homeless And Cannot Go To School Alone” by Reverend Hales Jarmon former pastor of First Presbyterian Church located across Main Street from Business Hall/Post Office Building – this would be followed by additional schools being erected throughout town: “First Methodist Episcopal Zion church (1898), Second Baptist church (1909), Third Presbyterian church(1911), Presbyterian churches United Reformed (1920), Evangelical Lutheran Synod(1924)…..” A women's suffrage referendum failed in 1916 but local women did gain national attention through their role playing central characters in soap operas aired on WKBW radio station during that decade including “Hazel McQueen Of Beverly Hills” who played sister Esther Decker opposite William Fenton as factory owner Amos Decker; second series featured “Maureen McCormick From Buffalo Grove” played opposite Leslie Ullman as housewife Mrs Kapp; third series starred Barbara Stanwyck as role model Norma Desmond opposite Tyrone Power as gangster Johnny Sands………In 1948 representatives from all six municipalities met together at Local Union No 259 under the auspices of American Federation Of Labor headquarters at 4500 Euclid Avenue NW near Terminal Tower Chicago IL discuss plans for economic development within our community better serve our citizens
Twinsburg was founded in 1814 by George Washington Carver and his wife Nancy. The town was named for their brother, John Carver, who had immigrated to the United States in 1795. In 1848, the town became a part of the new state of Ohio. In 1907, Twinsburg developed into a small agricultural community with a population of about 100 people. The population decreased during World War II because many of the town's residents enlisted in military service.
