Twinsburg is a small town located in the southern part of Ohio. The population was 1,471 at the 2010 census. It is named after two brothers who founded it in 1836. The twins were John and David Wilkins and they startedown a general store. They also were early settlers in what is now Twinsburg Township. The town has been around since 1835, when two brothers, John and David Wilkins, started a general store on the banks of the Wabash River in what is now Twinsburg Township. Heading west from Cincinnati, they bought some land along the river for $1 per acre (or $8 per square mile). From their store, they developed a small community that soon became known as Twinburg because of its two local newspapers - The Twinburg News and The Twinburgh Courier - which were published until 1945. In 1952, twin townships were created within Columbiana County to coincide with an increase in registrations for voting by residents of adjacent townships. As a result of this change in government policy, Twinburg ceased to be an incorporated municipality and became an unincorporated township under the jurisdiction of Columbiana County’s board of election commissioners. In May 1978, however, due to growth within the township and advances in technology that made it easier for residents to vote by email or phone through their county boards’ secure websites (rather than having to visit municipal buildings), Twinbergeweekly Inc., based in Allentown, annexed Twinsburg into its city limits effective July 1st . After almost fifty years as an unincorporated township under the jurisdiction of Columbiana County’s board of election commissioners – longer than any other municipality east of Interstate 75 – Twinbergeweekly Inc., announced on November 5th , 2018 that it plans to sell all its assets including buildings and land inside Twinsburgh City Limits for $2 million . Although no formal plan has yet been released proposing how this will be paid for or where any money would go – much less when completed – many are anticipating that twin-township consolidation will lead to increased taxes being levied on both citizens within Twinburgh City Limits as well as those living outside the boundaries who rely on property values within “the borough” for income tax purposes (although there have not been any reports emerged indicating significant changes occurring outside of city limits since then). If this happens as planned; future annexation efforts by other entities such as shopping malls or truck stops near existing cities like Dayton or Columbus may become necessary if larger parcels cannot be conveyed through annexation without causing massive cuts in funding sources needed to maintain services providedwithin those cities!

The first people to live in what is now Twinsburg were white settlers who arrived from Pennsylvania in 1795. They named their community after two brothers they met on their journey west. In 1814 the town was platted and became the county seat of Mahoning County. The name "Twinsburg" was chosen because it sounded like two words that had nothing to do with each other: "burb" (town) and "BURBANK". In 1907, Twinsburg voters passed an ordinance banning gambling within its borders. In 1916, James Wickersham built the first frame house in Twinsburg and started selling eggs from his home on Main Street. He would continue to sell eggs until his death in 1970. Wickersham's wife also ran a grocery store for many years before she died in 1984. In 1952, twin towns forms whenAkron-Canton decided to merge into one metropolitan area and Twinburg became part of that new city limits
Twinsburg is located in the southeastern corner of Ohio, east of Dayton and north of Columbus. The community began as a post office on December 12, 1814, with a population of just three residents. In 1827, the town was renamed Twinsburg Township after John Fenton and Augustus Dutton twin brothers who had come to live in the area. On July 14, 1869, the township was made an independent city by an act of the General Assembly. On November 2nd of that year, twins burghers voted to rename their city to Twinsburg-on-the-Lake due to its location on Lake Erie.
