Troy is a city in the U.S. state of Ohio and the seat of Troy Township. The population was 21,822 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Dayton–Middletown–Daytona, OH Metropolitan Statistical Area. With no other major hostilities taking place in Ohio during this time period, it is likely that most people did not know about or care about the civil war happening just south of them: Troy was one of many small towns that didn't see any fighting until after it had finished elsewhere across America." On July 6th 1870, while Stillwater Chapel Baptist Church was being built on Main Street north of town plat (now an alley off Broadway), a large granite boulder were found blocking access to Main Street so builders had to build an extra pair of doors onto their building making sure everyone could get into it when things got messy! In 1911 local prohibitionist candidate Fenton Patrick won an election against incumbent United States Congressman Oscar Wickersham with 71%Of The Vote - this led directly to Prohibition becoming law nationwide effective December 15th 1913!"
