After Prohibition ended in 1920, many farmers turned to dry-land farming which made use of large fields full of cornstalks covered with wire mesh screens to collect rainwater runoff for domestic use or irrigation purposes; these systems still exist today as part of local suburban development patternsToday’s downtown area began developing rapidly after Interstate 71 reached Troy from northern Kentucky via Byrne Avenue south on October 1st 1959; this designation marked one significant change within that short period – until then business areas had generally been divided between east and west portions of town along Second Street north/south arterial corridors
Troy was founded in 1795 by George Washington and General Anthony Wayne. It became a city in 1827, after it was chosen as the location for the United States capital. The city was renamed Cleveland in 1907.
