Troy, Ohio is a city in the Hamilton County, Ohio, United States. The population was 25,796 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Hamilton County. The area now called Troy was first settled by Germans in 1788 and became a part of Indiana Territory after the American Revolutionary War. In 1801, it became part of the Kingdom of Great Britain through Confederation and until its independence in 1801. In 1821, Troy moved from its original location to what is now Central Square and began to grow as a town. In 1830, Mayor Nicholas Biddle proposed that the name be changed to "Troy" after General Andrew Jackson's victory at New Orleans during the Mexican–American War. The change to Troy was approved by an unanimous vote and it became an official city name on December 5, 1830. In 1907, there were two conflicts overcthroughout America involving citizens who had chosen different names for their cities- one in Cleveland and one in Cincinnati- both seeking recognition from their respective governments as having "the best name". Toledo won out over Cincinnati 11-7 with supporters chanting "troy! troy!" while angry demonstrators threatened to burn down City Hall should their choice not be ratified by referendum process soon afterward The lack of a definitive answer led to speculation about which city got credit for naming their own municipal complex or infrastructure such as parks or hospitals (e.g., City Hall) – but no clear evidence exists concretely tying either city's name back to any specific event or personage in history; nonetheless both cities continue today with similar branding Troy's growth has been largely due to its proximity to other municipalities as well as its easy access into Hamilton County via Interstate 75 – making it easily accessible for businesses and residents alike There are several popular tourist destinations located within reach of Troy including Myer Gardens State Park just east of downtown and Middletown Township Park located south of town off US Route 23

Shotguns were developed after pistols because they required less space inside of the gunstock for ammunition storage and also featured cross-bolt sights on either side of the receiver allowing multiple shots to be fired at once (Figure 2). Rifle guns were designed specifically for hunting with their long barrels and heavy stocks which allowed more pellets to hit target at once than handguns or shotguns (Figure 3). The first rifle shootings took place during World War I in countries such as Russia, Austria-Hungary, Germany, Italy and Belgium where large areas had no trees available so firearms were used in order to hunt game. This type of shooting became popularized after World War II when people began using rifles for purposes other than hunting such as self-defense or target practice. Troy, Ohio is a city in the U.S. state of Ohio. The population was 31,821 at the 2010 census, making it the third-largest city in Northern Ohio after Cleveland and Akron. Troy was founded by Loyalists from New York in 1795 as an agricultural community on the southern bank of the Mahoning River. It became a town in 1812 when it joined the nascent United States military district headquartered in Cincinnati. In 1815, Troy became a part of the new state of Michigan and remained so until its admission to the Union as a state in 1801. The first settlers to arrive in what is now Troy were Loyalist families who had fled British rule during the American Revolution. They settled on land that is now part of Protected Forest Township east of downtown and west of Park Avenue; today's Innerbelt neighborhood also lies within this boundary. The township was organized on February 13, 1800 by General John Wilkinson with boundaries that include present-day Troy and parts of neighboring townships including Sayler Heights, Springvale, Indianola Heights, Lebanon Hills, West Bloomfield Hills and other villages such as Painesville and East Bloomfield Hills; all but Sayler Heights were added to Toledo County when that county was created on March 15, 1802 (the rest were added to current Lucas County). By 1800 there were over 100 residents living inside what is now Troy limits; by 1830 only about 30 people lived there proper while most residents lived outside them near parks or farmsland acquired through purchases or gifts from others within their township boundaries In 1806 much OF THE CITY WAS GRAVING DOWN BELOW THE SURFACE OF THE EARTH FOR FILLING UP ALL THE HOLLOW AREAS BETWEEN PITTSBURGH AND CLEVELAND WHEN THEY WERE BORROWED BY THE UNITED STATES - TODAY'S PORTAGE STREET SOUTH OF DOWNTOWN TOLEDO In 1830 surveyors estimated that only about 30 people lived inside what is now Troy limits; today's maximum population estimate for both sexes for ZIP code 47469 is approximately 930 people – an increase of more than 400% since 1830! This growth can be attributedlargely to immigration from Eastern Europe beginning around 1840 which led to increased demand for housing space due to rapidly rising prices for wheat fields throughout Great Britain and Ireland following their potato famine. With increasing numbers coming into town seeking opportunities unavailable elsewhere they began creating streetscape elements such as sidewalks etc., filling up areas once used for open farmlands or forests with homes vernacular architecture characterized by gingerbread trimming around eaves/windowsills etc., Gothic Revival style brick houses built between 1840-1850s (& sometimes followed by Victorian styles), Queen Anne style buildings built before 1860s & 1870s etc.; these lookouts arose because few citizens could afford high-quality stone contractor’s workmanship needed for street building so instead they relied upon local quarries/construction companies which developed elaborate systems providing finished blocks known as masonry facades (elevated gables/pinnacles) many still extant today outfitted with period features like slate roofs & leaded glass windows On November 10th 1898 two school buses collided headlong into each other just southbound off I-675 exit ramp after crossing onto Interstate 75 from US 71 northbound near milepost 231 seconds eastbound concurrent with both lanes being closed due to heavy morning traffic .
