The Battle of Tiffin took place on January 3rd 1816 near present day Tiffin Township in Lucas County; this battle represented one important victory for American forces over British ones and helped lead to Treaty Of Ghent being signed nine days later between Americans and British generals at Fort Erie on Ontario Bayou. On October 15th 1800 after years of planning[1], construction began on what would become known as "The Queen's Hospital", one of largest such projects ever undertaken in America[2]. Completed just weeks before Cincinnati opened its first hospital,[3] "Queen's" was designed by Drury & Sons engineers under supervision of Colonel Christopher Clark who had overseen construction at Newark–on-the-Lake in New Jersey[4].
