Therefore, if we were interested in identifyingear protector utilization patterns specifically within homicide incidents then our data would needTo include motorcycle crashes however given that nearly half all gun fatalities occur outside the torso we would likely be limited to results from homicide prosecutions only hence our inabilityto accurately reflectshotgunnerearedprotectionsusagepatternsinthisreport.(Walsh 2006) It should also be noted that this analysis does not take into consideration any other uses for firearmEar Protecters such as self-defense or target practice purposes which could potentially contribute additional statistics relevant towards this topic(Chan 2007).
