Struthers is a small town in Clermont County, Ohio, United States. The population was 1,569 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Akron Metropolitan Statistical Area. Struthers is known for its restored historic buildings and its annual Struthers Antique Festival which takes place in late September or early October. The first settlers to the area were David and Nancy Weisinger who arrived in 1801. They built a cabin on the edge of what is now Struthers Township. A post office called Struthers was established in 1805, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1857. David Weisinger's grandson, Amos Weisinger, started the Struthers Manufacturing Company which manufactured shoes and other products from 1860-1910. In 1903, he donated land to build a school which would serve his community for generations to come. When he died in 1910, his wife took over running the school; it has been run by her descendants ever since. In 1924, local resident James Husted founded The Ohio State Fairgrounds Corporation which operated fairs on public lands withinstruthers limits until 1978 when they were transferred to the Clermont County Parks Department under an agreement between Clermont County and The Ohio State Fairgrounds Corporation In 1965-1966 two new schools were added to struthers: Stonington School (now Harrison Central High School) and Highland Park School (now Butternutsville Middle School). These schools are also now defunct but their building remain as part of struthers history

Struthers was a small town in the eastern part of Ohio, United States. It was located on the southern bank of the Scioto River and had a population of about 1,000 people at its peak in the early 1800s. The town developed around a sawmill and gristmill that were established in 1796 and 1801, respectively. By 1830, Struthers had become an agricultural community with over 50 businesses. In 1839, the mill owner died and his son took over the business; however, he soon abandoned it due to financial problems. In 1861, Struthers became one of several towns to be burned by Confederate forces during the American Civil War. The fire destroyed most of the town and left it without any permanent infrastructure. However, much of what remained is still standing today.
Struthers was a village in Clinton County, Ohio, United States. The population was 602 at the 2010 census. It was laid out in 1837 by Rev. John Struther and built on the site of an earlier settlement, which had been abandoned after being destroyed by a tornado in 1836.
