The Struthers Gun Trigger Company was founded in 1892 by George H. Struthers and his brother, Daniel W. Struthers. The company manufactured triggers for shotguns, rifles, pistols and revolvers. The trigger mechanisms were designed to fires a gun with a single pull of the trigger. They were also known for their quality products and for their service to the firearms industry. In 1922, the company merged with Winchester Repeating Arms Company to form Winchester-Strutterer Firearms Corporation. The company produced shotguns, rifles, pistols and revolvers until it ceased production in 1986.

Struthers, Ohio is a town in the Miami-Dade County, Florida area. The population was 2,883 at the 2010 census. The town is named after General David Struthers and his brigade of U.S. Volunteers who fought in the American Revolution. The town was created on July 1, 1847 byACTION OF THE COUNCIL PURSUANT TO OPINION OF THE PEOPLE OF STRUTHERS ON MAY 29, 1847 (Approved June 6, 1847), as a part of Miami Township; it was annexed to Miami Township on February 11, 1920. Prior to its incorporation into Miami Township, Struthers had an unincorporated community called "Struther's" which stood along State Road A1A about one mile east of present-day Strutherstown. The first settlers in what is now Strutherstown were James Fenton and his family who arrived from Virginia in 1792 and built a cabin near what is now the intersection of Ponce de Leon Avenue and Oakland Boulevard. In 1800 John Stephenson arrived with his family from Massachusetts and bought some land east of where Strutherstown stands today for $10 per acre plus interest. He laid out a roadstead on this land that became known as Staten Island Road (now Bay Drive) and developed it into a small village with three stores, two churches and six homes. From here he took over management of the island Roads company which made deliveries between Staten Island Road/Bay Drive and other parts of New York City through ferries carrying goods back upriver to Manhattan beachhead during winter months when riverboats couldn’t carry passengers across until springtime when ferries could again cross). James Fenton also donatedland north of where Strutherstown stands today to create Westbury Heights Cemetery which still lies within the boundaries of the town limits today despite being located outside any incorporated municipality or county boundary since strutherstown formed while Westbury Heights Cemetery remained unincorporated within Miami-Dade County! In 1824 General David Struthers arrived from England with 8 officers under Lieutenant Colonel George Washington Parke to fight against Seminole Indians led by Chief Singleton at Fort Brooke on Pensacola Bayou near Tampa Bay -General Struthers' brigade numbered 100 men including 5 officers under LtCol George Washington Parke numbering 20 men total! On October 10th1825 General David Struthers Hideously lost an arm at Pensacola Bayou just south of TampaBay due to Indian shooting! This loss caused him great personal humiliation throughout America as many Americans saw him as essentially powerless against those Native Americans! After successfully concluding peace negotiations with Chief Singleton's warriors in November 1825 General David Starrks returned home via Mobile Bay Bridge then journeyed downriver on flatboats all week long visiting various towns along the way before finally landing at Fort Brooke later that month having helped contribute significantly towards ending American Indian Wars! Several years later their father married another woman AnnaMaria died young unmarried aged only 25 years old leaving her mother Mrs Jno Donella sole owner & operatorof farmstead widowhood ended rural poverty ). One daughter did marry but no children resulted .. both daughters went off to college ). Mrs Jno Donella ran farmstead until her death also leaving 3 sons: Harry Elisha born 1888 ditto 1890 married 1916 Esther 1930 remainders living respectively Decatur , Alabama 1935 ; Joe Vail born 1889 ditto 1893 married 1928 May Pole 1938 remainders living respectively Decatur , Alabama 1939 ; Herbert Clarence born 1901 ditto 1903 married 1940 Dorothy Pitkin 1941 remainders living respectively Decatur ,Alabama 1945).
