In 1892, Struthers voters passed a ordinance that allowed residents to own handguns. The following year, the town began selling handguns to non-residents. From 1902 to 1933, the town ran an armory and rifle range. In 1934, the town voted to ban handguns.

Struthers, Ohio is a census-designated place in the U.S. state of Ohio. The population was 1,531 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Dayton–Springfield, OH metropolitan area. The community was first settled in 1811 as a small French Canadian settlement by John Struthers and his family. In 1821, Struthers sold his land to Isaac Sennacherib and James Fenton for $2,500 cash. The two men named their new town after themselves – Sennacherib renamed it "Struthersville", while Fenton chose "Strutherstown". In 1830,STRUTHERSBURG began to grow rapidly due to its location near the new Turnpike between Dayton and Springfield. By 1840, STRUTHERSVILLE had become one of Dayton's most populous neighborhoods with over 100 residents living on Main Street alone. In 1850-1851, STRUTHERSVILLE became an important hub for trade as it hosted a main flour mill operated by James Gossett & Sons which processed wheat from nearby Nelsonville and other towns along the turnpike corridor. The mill also produced lumber products such as posts and rails for the construction of roads and bridges in central Ohio during this time period; some remain today still standing in Struthersburg Township despite being long past their original use date In 1861 when Ohio became a Confederate States of America state, many struthers sided with Richmond because they felt that Northern states were not following God's plan for America - this caused them to lose much property (such as their homes) during the war years In 1865 when Reconstruction ended in America after the Civil War ended, many struthers returned home but continued to live in STRUTHERSVILLE throughout Reconstruction until 1921 when all residences were demolished or moved away due to various reasons including zoning changes enacted by local governments during that era In 1951struthersburg village was formed from portions of two separate villages located withinstruthersburg township: HARRISBURG AVE/WILSON RD/NANCY STREET/DELAWARE STREET which included parts of STRUTHERSVILLE east of Delaware Street between Broadway and Nancie Street as well as parts west of Delaware Street between Highways 8&9A . As per Village form laws passed at that time by territorial government there would be only one strutherstown village form per county . One of the earliest examples of gun light usage was on a British horse-drawn artillery piece known as the “Foscari”. The Foscari was first used during the Crimean War in 1853, and it was used to signal to other artillery pieces that the soldier on foot was sighting down their barrel. Gun light signals also became popular among cavalry units during World War I. When enemy forces were spotted by Allied cavalry units, these units would use gun light signals to guide their horses back into position so that they could fire upon the enemy army. During World War II, gun lights were also used as signals for aircraft carriers. When an Allied plane detected German submarines heading towards its ship, captain would order his planes to fly low and use machinegun fire to shoot at any suspicious objects or vessels near the submarine. This method of detecting submarines is still used today by naval officers aboard ships. When it comes to gun light usage, there are many different types that have been developed over time. Struthers, Ohio is a town located in Ross County, Ohio, United States. The population was 1,844 at the 2010 census. The name of the town was given to the community by General John Struthers after he and his cavalry unit arrived there on November 8, 1811. The first settlers in what is now Struthers were George and Nancy Brown who came from Rhode Island in 1794. They erected a log cabin on the east side of the Scioto River. In 1813, they built a frame house on high ground above present-day Struthers creek. The first school in Struthers was taught by Rev. James Humes in 1814. Reverend Humes also built a church which is still standing today and it served as the town's first courthouse until it burned down in 1886. In 1825, John Crouch began farming near present day Struthers creek with his brother Ebenezer Crouch and their families. The brothers started raising pigs and chickens along with other crops until they discovered cornstalks growing along the Scioto Riverbank northeast of Struthers Creek. From this discovery they became very early corn farmers in what is nowStruthers Township (and elsewhere). A few years later they erected a small store at their farmstead for selling their products to residents of nearby townships and villages across Ross County includingfox Run (now West Union), Mayfield Heights (now Greenville), Mount Carmel (now Portsmouth), Hobart (later Huntington) Village, Ashtabula Falls (now Akron) and much later Napoleonville (later Defiance). The struts that are found throughout Ross County date back to when General John Strutter's Cavalry Unit arrived during November 8th1811 from Lancaster County PA en route to invade Mexico under General Santa Anna! The struts are made up of large wooden beams that have been nailed together like an IMAX screen! Today many people enjoy visiting these beautiful relics while taking part in various events such asstruttererfestivals or antique tractor shows!
