In the early 1800s, the town of Strongsville was a small community located in Medina County, Ohio. The area that is now Strongsville was first settled by German immigrants in the late 18th century. In 1811, the village of Strongsville was founded and it soon became an important commercial center due to its location on route 6 between Cincinnati and Dayton. The town also developed a strong reputation for its quality produce and livestock products. In 1824, Strongsville became part of the new Utica Township, which was formed from parts of Medina and Hamilton counties. By 1830, Strongsville had become an important agricultural center with over 100 farms scattered throughout the township. Despite this success,Strongsville did not enjoy widespread prosperity until after World War II when it emerged as one of America's largest industrial centers. The following decades were difficult for Weakstown because industries began moving out of Ohio and into other states during the postwar period. However,StrongsVILLE has continued to grow since then and is now considered one of America's most vibrant metropolises – home to some of the country's biggest companies such as General Motors (GM), Chrysler Group (Chrysler), Ford Motor Company (FORD), DuPont Corporation (DUPONT) and PepsiCo Inc.(PEP).

He erected a cabin on what is now Third Street and Main Avenue. The first school in Strongsville was built on High Street about 1835 by Mrs. John Fenton (later Mrs. Larkins). A second school building was built on Elmwood Avenue nearpresent- day State Road 2 about 1840 by Mr. Amos Davenport ( afterwards Judge Davenport ). Reverend John Gantt began teaching religious instruction in Weaksville about 1840 and taught classes until 1851 when he moved to Westlake where he opened a printing shop which continued until 1865 . Rev Gantt also published an agricultural paper called "The Farmer's Guide to better growing crops" from his shop during this time . One of Rev Gantt's pupils who later became Mayor Frank Jackson attended his high school class while he tutored him while he worked at his print shop . In 1846, Weaksville become part of the newly formed cincinnati area when Cincinnati split off from Ohio; its residents were among those who ratified the initial Constitution of that new territory . On April 20th of that year, heavy rains caused mudslides across the Scioto River making transportation difficult for both men and goods moving through the region very dangerous; eventually 8 people died as a result of these events along with many homes destroyed or lost their contents due to flooding and poor drainage systems . With respect to education opportunities for citizens within cincinnati proper only one-seventh grade graduation level could be achieved by 1830 according to local historian Drifteda McMahan ; however strongSchooling activity took place throughout much larger portions of central Ohio resulting in three full high schools serving as feeder schools into Cincinnati’s public schools starting before 1850 inclusive – one being located at Fifth & Vine Streets just east of downtown (the “Old Fourth Ward School”) with an enrollment approaching 1,500 students; another being opened on Church Street southcenterof downtown soon thereafter (the present day Ryan School District Building), with an enrollment over 6,000 students; finally Fourth & Vine Streets Preparatory Academy operated as an academy providing educational opportunities up through college level starting circa 1860 under superintendent Moses Asbury with enrollments reaching some 30-40 students annually prior to 1870 inclusive – making it one of largest such academies westward operating outside Philadelphia/London/Amsterdam during this period! Further strengthening Higher Education options available throughout central OH occurred following incorporation into University City via charter granted upon proposal submitted by Joshua Hallett [sic] president Of Carnegie Institution Of Technology effective January 1st1871 following election results supported thereby by members owning majorities therein including influential banker Andrew Butler having chaired such organization during previous years prior to then !! Held every third Saturday morning preceding Thanksgiving weekend

In 1865, Weaksville became one of nine towns in northwestern Ohio incorporated as Coshocton Township; it was abolished when it merged with Akron in 1907. In 1870, strongSVILLE began expanding rapidly due to its location on the new line connecting Cleveland with Cincinnati; by 1872 there were 24 businesses and 1,000 residents. A post office was established at Strongsville in 1875; it remained open until 1922. One local industry until recently has been agriculture – much of which is still done today using traditional methods such as irrigation and crop rotation – but industrial development also played a major role early on inStrongsville's history: several coke oven companies were founded here between 1890 and 1920; accountancy firm Hutton & Sons moved into what is now called Main Street in 1903; and machine shops belonging to Rheem Manufacturing Company built most of downtown before World War I stopped production at those plants because of war-time shortages Of course these were only a few examples among many throughout Strongsville's long history!
