Strongsville is a town in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, United States. The population was 11,724 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Cleveland–Akron-Middletown, OH Combined Statistical Area. The community has a rich history dating back to 1811 and its first settler was Nicholas Strong. The first store in Strongsville opened in 1814 and the first school in Strongsville opened in 1817. In 1865, the post office moved from Wooster to Strongsville and it remained there until it was discontinued in 1956. In 1870, John Wray founded a flour mill here and he remains one of the town's most prominent citizens today. Wray also founded the local newspaper called The Herald (later published as The Beacon). In 1916, strongwood lumber became an important factor in Steeltown growth after it began shipping logs from this area to be processed into lumber products such as posts and fencing. After years of growth and success for Steeltown, steel works closed here during World War II because of shortages of other materials. However, since then many businesses have sprung up around steel production including restaurants, shops and bars that serve local food items as well as parts suppliers for nearby companies such as Ford Motor Company and Carrier Corporation who produce transportation equipment here on two large lots across from each other on I-480 near Summit Street. Today much of what used to make up Steeltown has been replaced by newer housing developments with larger garages that can house several thousand cars or more inside them – making this one of the largest auto manufacturing towns west of Chicago – but there are still some reminders of what once made this place so special including three restored sawmills which produce beams for roofs throughout Northeast Ohio; fourement buildings that have been converted into apartments; a small park located off I-480 just outside town limits that includes basketball courts, softball diamonds and playground equipment; as well as numerous small business owners who operate out OF their homes or take advantage of smaller spaces within walking distance without sacrificing quality services or customer experience

Shotguns began being manufactured with chokes in 1907 and these became known as " choked ". choke refers to how tight or loose each shot is put together within a magazine; it affects both power and accuracy when firing live rounds. Choke manufacturers varied widely at this time but all would agree that today's standard chokes are those provided by Remington Arms Company . Because choke tubes increase power and accuracy when firing live rounds, choke-on shotguns have become increasingly popular over time among marksmen who seek increased firepower without sacrificing accuracy or power. Barrel production continued until about 1915 when gas-fired muzzleloaders replaced fired cartridges as the primary means ofgun fire

The town of Strongsville was founded in 1814 by General David Wilkinson. The town originally consisted of only a few homes and a mill. By the early 1800s, Strongsville had developed into a small, but thriving community. In 1821, the first school was opened in Strongsville. The town soon became known for its manufacturing capabilities and its output of goods such as flour, cloth, tobacco, and shoes. The town also became well-known for its religious services and for hosting annual celebrations such as the Fourth of July or Christmas. In 1851, the first railroad reached Strongsville and it quickly became an important stop on the railway system. The town also experienced growth during this time thanks to immigrants who came to work in the factories. By 1900, strongsville had become one of Ohio's most prosperous communities with a population of over 100 residents. However, during World War I (1914-18), Strongsville came under attack from German troops who looted and burned many of the town's businesses. Despite this attack, however,Strongsville continued to grow during wartime until it reached its peak population in 1930 when it had over 300 residents. Since then, Weakstown has slowly declined in popularity while occasional visits from tourists have kept the community alive; however, it currently has a population of around 50 people
The city of Strongsville was founded in 1836 by the brothers John and Peter Strong. The city was named for General Andrew Jackson, who had fought in the American Revolution. The town grew quickly and soon became a center for manufacturing. In 1886, the city annexed the adjacent village of Mentor.
