The first streetcars in Streetsboro were horse-drawn cars. The first streetcar was built in 1887, and it traveled between the downtowns of Cleveland and Akron. In 1905, the city replaced its horse-drawn cars with trolley cars. The original trolley line ran from the old Water Tower to the present-day intersection of High Street and State Avenue. In 1911, a new trolley line was built that extended from High Street to University Avenue. The original route went through Elyria, but the new line passed through Streetsboro.
Streetsboro is a city in Butler County, Ohio, United States. The population was 13,911 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Butler County. Streetsboro was founded in 1824 by Adam Smith and John Marshall as a town on the Scioto River. The community was renamed Streetsboro after General William B. Streets in 1875. The first store in Streetsboro opened its doors on July 1, 1824, when Adam Smith and John Marshall opened the first store in what is now downtown Streetsboro. At that time there were only about 20 people living in the small town of Streetsboro which was located just upstream from where the Scioto River flows into Lake Erie. In 1850, streets were laid out within town limits and later that same year, a school was built with twelve students teaching classes from May to October each year before moving to larger facilities east of town beginning in 1861. In 1875, General William B. Parks became sheriff of Butler County and decided to rename Streetsboro as an honor for him along with other veteran law enforcement officials statewide who had made significant contributions to their communities during their careers including Colonel james Henshaw (founder of Cleveland), Captain Nathaniel Lyon ( founder of Cincinnati), Marshal Wm Coyle (founder of Dayton) and Judge David Welsh (founder of Xenia). Today Streetsboro remains an agricultural community with a large number of hogs raised on farms near mines located several miles northeast of town along Interstate 77/Upper Great Miami Rd., providing jobs for many residents during off-season months when those positions are not available locally or through another job search option available nearby such as Warren Local Schools District #2’s summer employment program which offers work opportunities for high school seniors & recent college graduates over 12 years old throughout June & July

They were often attached directly to the rifle stock with rivets or screws. In the late 1800s, telescopic sights became available, and began to be attached to rifles using Scope Mounting Kits (SMs). Streetsboro is a town in Greene County, Ohio, United States. The population was 8,711 at the 2010 census. It is the principal city of the Streetsboro-Warren metropolitan area. The first permanent settler in what would become Streetsboro was George Stephenson in 1788. He built a log cabin on the banks of the forks of Beaver Creek and named it "Newburgh." The first post office was established in 1790 and served as such until 1815. In 1805, a wagon road from Cincinnati to Youngstown was finished and called "The Stephenson Road." One of the earliest businesses in Streetsboro was George Stephenson's mill where he ground corn for his own use and for sale to other farmers. In 1830, Stephenson sold his interest in the mill to Wm. Hinton who continued to operate it until 1840 when it became part of the Copley & Hawley bankruptcies. In 1841, John Tompkins bought out Wm Hinton's interest and renamed it "Tompkins Mill". The mill operated intermittently until 1870 when it went into receivership because of an issue with debt that had been accrued from its production over time. In 1870, Ebenezer Scudder founded a flour company which would become one of Streetsboro's most successful businesses throughthe years; selling flour both within and outside of America. In 1912, Scudder donated money towards building a library in honor of his father which still operates today as one of downtown Streetsboro's major features - providing access to knowledge for all residents! This notable donation also helped make streetscape improvements along Fifth Avenue between Market Street and Lafayette Avenue during this time as well! On November 2nd1920, after more than 50 years without interruption or change due to industry closures or World War I led by declining sales then increased competition (due largely to immigration), Ebenezer Scudder passed away suddenly at age 90 leaving behind an estate valued at $1 million dollars ($ when adjusted for inflation). At his deathbed he instructed those handling his affairs not only preserve everything including personal papers but also allow local historians access thereto so that “a living history may be birthed” should anotherScudder family decide they wishedcontinued research on their father’s life – something resultingin many pedestrian crossing changes around town throughout these later years! With this directive came even greater opportunities given Scudder left behind numerous notes,, plans,,and photographs that have yetto be fully researched or studied...
Streetsboro was founded on the Scioto River in 1795 by Johnstown settlers. The town was named after General James Wilkinson, who helped lead the American Revolution. In 1813, Streetsboro became a village and was renamed Johnstown. It amalgamated with neighboring villages in 1868 to form the city of Johnstown.
