Streetboro, Ohio is a town in Stark County, Ohio, United States. The population was 9,752 at the 2010 census. Streetsboro is part of the Cleveland Metropolitan Statistical Area. It was founded in 1814 by Captain James Holton and his wife Maria. Streetsboro is named after Colonel George Street and General David Henshaw . In 1827, the village of Streetsboro merged with neighboring unincorporated communities to form what is now known as City of Cleveland. Streetsboro became a city on November 3, 1898.

Streetsboro is a town in the U.S. state of Ohio and the seat of Ross Township. The population was 21,711 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Cincinnati–Middletown–Wilmington, OH-IN Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first permanent settler in what would become Streetsboro was James Wilkinson in 1795. By 1814, Streetsboro had a population of 100 people and was known as "The Village". In 1820, when Ohio became a state, Streetsboro became the seat of Ross Township. In 1840, John Stephenson built the main road from Cincinnati to Cleveland through Streetsboro and it remains one of Lyons County's most important highways today. The Early American Store located on Main Street still stands as a local landmark today and has been extensively renovated over time into apartments and commercial space including several restaurants/cafeterias). During World War II, Roads participated in both military service (the war supplied many munitions) as well as civilian projects such as building schools for soldiers returning home (one school opened in 1945 - now known as East High School). One notable resident during this time was Myron Stratton who served two terms Mayor of Streetsboro from 1951-1957 with distinction; he also founded Stratton College which still exists today (one of only three colleges withinLyons County).

The area that now makes up Streetsboro was first settled by families from Pennsylvania and Delaware who began arriving in large numbers during the time of James K. Polk's presidency in 1845. Polk had been elected president because he had campaigned on a platform supporting expansion into Upper Ohio and western Kentucky. One reason for this focus may have been that Developing Kentucky, then led by John A. Logan, favored east-west transportation over north-south travel because much of eastern Kentucky was still covered by Native American land which could be explored only by horseback or wagon

The area now includes the cities of streetsboro and unincorporated areas such as Springvale and Centerville. Streetsboro was named after a small town in England which had been granted land to settle by George Washington.
