Streetboro is a town in Ashland County, Ohio, United States. The population was 2,564 at the 2010 census. The Cuyahoga River forms the town's southern border. It was once part of the unincorporated community of Mid-Lakes and is now within the city of Cleveland. Streetsboro was established by land grant in 1812 from George Washington Potter to Rufus King. The Town of Streetsboro was organized on February 15, 1819 by a group of nine men led by Major John Gassaway (1790–1868), who had served as quartermaster general for the War of 1812. The first store opened in what is now the Old Street area of town on December 17, 1819. A post office called Streetsboro was established on February 15, 1821; it remained open until it was discontinued on November 15, 1865. In 1830, General David Fenton purchased 640 acres (248 ha) east of present-day streetsboro and developed it into what is now Mid-Lakes Township with a sawmill and grist mill plus various other businesses and residences. In 1839ite Road became available when the Cuyahoga River were dammed for flood control purposes and Streetboro began to be developed as an agricultural village with large plantations used for growing crops such as cotton and corn while also housing some 3 thousand residents serving as farmers/ Manufacturers/ merchants etc... On October 1st 1860 a fire destroyed most or all mills in midlakes township including Streetsborough gristmill On January 16th 1861 Confederate soldiers burned three stores in streetboro burning over $4000 worth of goods injuring no one

Streetsboro is located in the southeast part of Scioto County on the border of Beavercreek and unincorporated Steubenville Township. It is northeast of Dayton. Streetsboro was laid out by William Pemberton in 1826 and named for John Streets, an early settler. The first post office was established in 1827 and was called Pembertonville. The town incorporated as a village in 1868 and changed its name to Streetsboro after its incorporation date. Streetsboro experienced rapid growth from the late 19th century until the early 21st century, thanks to its water supply from Beavercreek River which it protected from development for over half a century until it became too polluted to use. The population peaked at 2,814 during the 1930 census but has declined steadily since then due to various factors such as loss of jobs and declines in real estate values. The most recent Census reported 1,754 people living in Streetsboro as of 2010 – well below its peak population of around 2,814 during World War II when Streetsboro boasted one-time job centers including Ford Motor Company’s Willow Run Arsenal plant and General Motors’ Waverly Assembly Plant nearby; however these have all been closed or converted into housing developments since then (although some remains usable). However Springs Township adjacent to streetsborough also saw an increase in population with over Halfway House Road becoming home to 456 residents between 2000-2010 according to township records; this suburban sprawl away from aspects of downtown which have seen little if any growth is likely due largely to zoning changes that prevent denser development near schools while still allowing open farmland access further east (in contrast Downtown Heights neighborhood annexed by Spring Township years ago has seen more dense development with mixed uses) making it difficult for either street corner or central business district within blocks radius now serving both areas despite strong community support for keeping them together as one contiguous area within Springs Township managing affairs through elected officials rather than annexation/subdivision would seem necessary given their current situation only possible through land purchases offering much needed density along side major arterial routes providing essential transportation links not possible without developing such sites - currently no offer exists on purchase or condemnation allowing such dense mixed use redevelopment closer along arterial routes north intersecting I-75 providing vital Interstates linking our city center with rural areas far distant beyond neighborhoods taking place without negatively impacting residential neighborhoods two miles west across I-475 connecting Dayton with points south offers hope least impacted neighborhoods will be retained given threat of large highway projects passing through older parts of city - efforts are ongoing

Streetsboro is a town in the U.S. state of Ohio, located on the Scioto River near its mouth on the Maumee River. The population was 1,394 at the 2010 census. The first Europeans to visit Streetsboro were traders who landed in 1789 and named it after their hometown of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. In 1813, when Ohio became a state, Streetsboro was included within the new boundaries of Trumbull County. It remained part of Trumbull County until 1828 when it became part of Lucas County due to being west of the natural border between those two counties. In 1839, Christopher Columbus discovered what would become Cleveland while traveling along the riverbank near present-day downtown Streetsboro. When he returned home from his voyage, he reported seeing "a great city" on the other side of the river and Accordingly called it "Cleveland." His discovery set off a wave of exploration across North America which led to further discoveries in what would come to be known as Ohio: one by George Washington in 1792 during his expedition through Virginia; another by Pierre Dorion with his discovery of Lake Erie in 1795; and finally by Daniel Boone in 1796 during his attempt to cross Great Lakes into Illinois territory via these same lakes. After land purchase from Native Americans in 1840, settlers began arrive from all over Northeast Ohio eager for new opportunities and fertile soil that could support their crops and livestock. Roads were built throughout townships (later counties) as people moved into each area seeking wealth and opportunity beyond their original homesteads or villages back east or west of them. By 1850, Streetsboro had about 100 inhabitants with taverns serving refreshments for travelers along both sides of the river; businesses including stores dealing largely with farming products such as cheese, flour, eggs and bacon; blacksmith shops providing general tools needed for farm work; saloons where men enjoyed gambling or drinking before going home; schools offering primary education through gradeschool up through college level (the first high school opened in 1848); churches which offered worship services weekdays morning until eveninginderry along with kindergarden/elementary/junior high schools which operated intermittently until post-war years when they were converted into public schools.; Furthermore there was an extensive canal system linking riverside settlements with points inland for transportation purposes such as coal shipments From mines located miles away To serve eastern markets WithGenoa Canal At Wauseon
