Streetboro is a small town in northwestern Ohio, located on the edge of Warren County. The population was 9,644 at the 2010 census. In 1937, gun lights were introduced into Streetsboro as a way to provide illumination at night while providing warning against crime. After many years of usage, gun lights became an important part of local life and culture in Streetsboro. Today, gun lights are still used by the community to provide illumination at night while also warning against crime. In addition, streetlights have been replaced with LED light fixtures which allow for increased brightness and better visibility at night time.

The name "Streetsboro" was derived from the Potawatomi word "streets". It was founded in 1824 by John Henshaw and named for General James Wilkinson, who had helped to defeat Britain in the Northwest Indian War. In 1902, Streetsboro merged with neighboring unincorporated communities to form one large community known as Streetsboro-on-the-Lake which remained an independent municipality until 1984 when it merged with neighboring unincorporated community known as Swenecross to form one larger community known as Streetsboro-on-the-Lake and Swenecross again became an independent municipality until 1991 when it merged with neighboring unincorporated community known as Owasco to form one larger community known as Streetsborough Township. Today, streetsigns are still present throughout most of downtown Wallsburg (formerly called Portsmouth) which served as Townsville's central business district until that district's closure in 1993; however all other buildings have been replaced or are no longer standing including both Wells Fargo bank building which now serves as a museum open daily 9am - 4pm (closed Thanksgiving Day); also located within Wallsburg is One World Center - formerly Sears Tower - now home to several small businesses including JCPenney; along these same streets lie several churches including First Methodist Church & Southern Union Baptist Church which serve Hallsburg area while also housing several local businesses such as Subway sandwich shop; finally located just outside Wallsburg sits Walmart Supercenter making this once gated shopping center into an open mall complete with restaurants and stores across several levels

Streetsboro was founded in 1803 by settlers from Bedford Township and became a community after it was platted on November 1, 1836. Streetsboro's first post office opened in 1835 and its first store was built in 1840. Streetsboro's only highway is State Route 87 which skirts the town to the east. Streetsboro has two high schools: Hillsborough High School and Easton-Merrill High School. Hillsborough is one of three public high schools located within the Columbus- Youngstown-Warren Regional School District, which also includes Grove City and Delaware Township. In 1978, Streetsboro voters passed a resolution proclaiming themselves an "independent city" with its own police department and budget without reference to either of their local school districts or county government bodies; this status continues today as charter funding for both Schools allows for such independent operations while still complying with all state education laws and regulations pertaining to urban education districts (i.e., providing an excellent educational experience for students). In fall 2016, streetsboro unveiled plans to build a new library that would be funded through Measure DD - also known as "The Streeterville Tax". The amount raised will help defray costs associated with building renovations at other libraries throughout the city including replacement of heating and air conditioning systems as well as new carpeting, lighting etc.. The new library would be located on First Street South between Euclid Avenue North and 9th Street South across from IHOP/Burger King
St. John's Episcopal Church was founded in 1875 on the corner of High and State Streets in Streetsboro, Ohio. The first pastor was Rev. George Fenton and the church seated around 100 people. In 1885, a new building was constructed on High Street which serves as the present day St. John's Episcopal Church.
