Streetsboro is a city in Lorain County, Ohio, United States. The population was 27,898 at the 2010 census. It is the largest city in Lorain County and the county seat of Lorain County. The first ammunition store in Streetsboro opened on May 1, 1851 by Wm. L. Halleck and his son-in-law John J. Macklinagher. Ammunition production began in 1853 with the arrival of George Stephenson's Stephenson Arsenal to produce cannons and other artillery pieces for the Union army during the American Civil War. In 1857, Prentice Young started manufacturing rifle rounds for sale to farmers and hunters along with powder and shot stores around town. By 1865, both gunpowder companies had closed down due to competition from new manufacturers such as Remington Arms Company of Philadelphia Pennsylvania (now Winchester) which produced rifles blueprints directly to dealers rather than through contracted suppliers like Prentice Young. However, old arsenals continued to be used until they were destroyed or converted into housing estates in the 1960s when streetcars ran past them nightly carrying passengers back and forth between downtown streets near Union Terminal Park (now part of Wright State University) on one side and Armoury Road on the other side; then buses took over until 1974 when a new expressway bypassed downtown Streetsboro making it less accessible by car). In 1919 Ammo Sales Inc., founded by future Mayor James Aiken moved into its present building at 222 Eidenton Ave after two years storage at 4th & Zee where it had been since 1897 under what was then called Armoury Hill Businesses Inc.. Streetsboro, Ohio is a town in Muskingum County, Ohio, United States. The population was 9,554 at the 2010 census. Streetsboro is located on the Scioto River and has a humid subtropical climate (Köppen: Cfa). The first settlement in Streetsboro was made on December 6, 1813 by John Bledsoe and his wife Sarah. By 1817 there were six families living in the town. On March 16, 1824, Streetsboro became part of Muskingum County. The courthouse was built in 1830 and served as the county seat for about thirty years. In 1853, Streetsboro became an independent village due to its prohibition laws being stricter than those of Muskingum County. In 1865 it merged with nearby Athens to form Athens-Streetsboro Village. In 1902 it again became an independent village when it passed a resolution to become part of the new city of Cleveland. When Cleveland annexed streetsborough into its city limits in 1907, Streetsboro reverted back to its former status as an independent village once again. In 1936, Streetsboro consolidated with Athens-streetsborough Village to form the present day City of Streetsboro which still retains its own government and governing body separate from Cleveland's Municipal Authority

Streetboro is a town in Stark County, Ohio, United States. The population was 1,528 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Cleveland Metropolitan Statistical Area. The settlement of Streetboro was founded in 1814 by General James Wilkinson and his family as a place for soldiers stationed on the Great Lakes. Wilkinson named the town after his home state of Virginia. The first post office was established in 1817, and the first church was built in 1819. In 1830, Streetboro became one of the locations chosen to serve as the capital of Ohio because it had a population of over 1,000 people. In 1837, Streetboro developed into an agricultural community with two gristmills and seventy-five slaves working on three farms. By 1840, there were twelve homes and eighty-seven businesses in town. In 1847–48, Streetsboro hosted the centennial celebration of its foundation which included speeches by Ulysses S Grant and Franklin D Roosevelt. That year also saw the inauguration of President James Kintyre Woodruff as president of Ohio University (now Ohio State University).
