Streetsboro is a town in Hamilton County, Ohio, United States. The population was 9,711 at the 2010 census. Streetsboro was founded in 1824 by General James Wilkinson and his wife Lucy. It became a borough in 1923 and then a city in 1951. The current mayor is Shane Koyczan. Streetsboro was founded on high ground along the Cuyahoga River where it falls into the river below (the present-day downtown area of Streetsboro was built on this site). The first settler to come to Streetsboro were General James Wilkinson and his wife Lucy who arrived from Connecticut on July 10, 1824. They named their new community after their birthplace: Stamford, Connecticut. The Wilkinson's had been married for sixteen years when they moved to Streetsboro and had two children – one boy and one girl – within two weeks of each other. The early days of Streetsboro were difficult as there were no roads or proper townsharing facilities available for the small community that quickly grew around them; however, through hard work, dedication and innovation by its founders, streets were eventually built and businesses opened up which helped make life easier for those living in the town during its formative years. In 1829 - 1830 Streetsboro’s first school building was erected with twenty students attending daily instruction under Revd Dr John Greenough who also served as teacher/chief magistrate/ justice of peace until his death in 1840 aged 63 years old; later that year construction began on what would become known as Greenough Square which housed both Schools 1 & 2 until 1954 when they merged into one structure which still remains today - providing education for grades 7-12 today! In 1834 general land sales took place with parcels totaling 5 acres being sold for $350 per acre; registrations began pouring in soon after this event ensuring that everyone knew about potential property located within Blocks 3-5 so that development could begin immediately! This progressivism can be seen throughout much of Streeterville including street names such as Main Street (now renamed Highland Avenue), Prospect Heights (now renamed Broadview Boulevard), Burr Ridge (now renamed Riverside Drive) etc.; these names reflect not only an early stage of development but also characterize much of what made our community unique over time: diversity sprang from cooperation rather than competition! The arrival of railroads brought many new residents flooding into Streetsborough from surrounding villages including Mayfield Heights (then North Union), Westminster (then South Union) & more recently Canada Hill adding even more excitement to an already vibrant little town! By 1870 most businesses closed down due to lack of customers or competition from larger cities such as Cleveland or Columbus just east across the river! However, despite all these challenges things continued to move forward slowly but surely with many talented individuals working togethereto create something truly special here - something you can feel every day when walking around our beautiful town today!!!

St. John's Presbyterian Church was founded in 1817 in Streetsboro, Ohio. The first pastor of the church was Rev. James Clements and it was known as the Second Presbyterian Church until 1830. The presentual St. John's Presbyterian Church building was completed in 1881 and is on a corner of High and State streets. In 1907, the church moved to its present location and has remained there ever since. Streetsboro is also home to the Stroudsburg Museum of Art which is open to the public from Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm, Saturday 10am to 4pm, and Sunday 12pm to 3pm.
