The origins of the target shooting industry in Springfield, Ohio began with a small gunsmith shop on the corner of State and High Streets. The first targets were made from pewter and wood and were hung across the doorways of the shop for customers to shoot at. In 1872, W. H. Dickson opened his own firearms business in Springfield, which became known as Dickson's Guns & Ammunition. Over time, other businesses entered into the market for target Shooting supplies such as ammunition manufacturers and importers. Eventually, Target Shooters Associations (TSAs) were formed to promote target shooting among hobbyists across the United States. In 1915, General Electric built a new plant in Springfield that served as one of America's leading suppliers of electrical equipment and accessories forGun Clubs and Shooting Sports Facilities around the world. The company also constructed an adjacent gun range which was used by both TSA members and general public alike until it closed in 1978 due to financial problems. Finally, in 1984, Clear Channel Communications purchased WKRC-TV from its founder William Kappmeyer who had begun broadcasting live targets matches out of his home back then! Springfield is a small town in the northwestern corner of Ohio, United States. The population was 9,792 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Cincinnati–Middletown–Wilmington, OH-KY-IN Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town was first settled in 1792 as a section of what is now West Chester Township. In 1815, Springfield became an incorporated village and in 1827 it became a city. It has since reverted to its original name: Springfield. The community lies on the southern edge of Cincinnati proper on public land that forms part of Hamilton County's eastern border. Located about east of Downtown Cincinnati on I-75W near Springvale Center Mall and west of Eden Park Airport, it borders five other municipalities: Brooklyn Heights/East Elmhurst to the north; Overton Hills to the east; Parma to the south; Beechcroft Township to the west; and Delaware Park to the northwest. As one mile wide by one mile long by three miles wide (2 km × 2 km × 3 km), Springfield spans over eight square miles within just two counties – making it one of America’s smallest cities by size but also one with some high-profile residents including Hollywood movie star Christopher Walken and rocker Lou Reed. With only 602 full or part time residents as of December 2010 – fewer than half any U S city – Springfield has few amenities available beyond its downtown core which offers large grocery stores (Cleveland Market), several banks (PNC Bank & First National Bank) as well as two restaurants (Buca di Prima Italian Ristorante & Save Mart Supermarket). However there are plans underway for new development including residential areas located just off I-75W outside downtown along with a new convention center scheduled for completion in 2020 which will add up to 10 acres across from Peachtree Road downtown which could house more than 20 thousand jobs creating tens or even hundreds of thousands more jobs across all types job categories throughout downtown Springfield alone! One key reason behind this lackadaisical attitude towards life in town may be that less then 1% percent ($5 million) funded through local streets initiatives actually produce results such as reducing crime rates or improving infrastructure like better sidewalks or streetlights while almost 95% ($90 million) goes straight into maintaining roads, bridges and other civic facilities status quo unchanged year after year despite repeated requests from citizens begging for change! In fact according to recent studies conducted by TrustForAmerica’s Institute For Public Integrity - “the overwhelming majority” (96%)of spending on government services in communities like Springfield goes unspent due primarily because elected officials perceive them as not necessary or burdensome enough rather then those who actually generate revenue through taxes! Consequently politicians have shown little interest whatsoever in either fixing our broken infrastructure OR changing how they spend taxpayer dollars without voter approval funneled directly into their personal coffers instead leaving us taxpayers footing much higher bills when they finally do address these issues…A clear example can be found right here in our own backyard where Cleveland CountySheriff Tom Monaghan recently announced his intention to request $65 million from state legislators next year specifically for rural broadband development yet still no action has been takendespite numerous emails, letters and phone calls over many months

During World War II, Springfield played an important role in the Battle for Berlin which ended with Nazi Germany's defeat. The city also played a significant role during peace time by providing housing to military personnel and their families. After World War II, Springfield experienced an era of rapid growth which saw it become one of America's most diverse cities. It still retains much of its original diversity - from its large Indian population to its many cultures represented in its embassies around the world!
Springfield was founded by John Stephenson in 1788. The city became a state-chartered municipality in 1825, and it was made the capital of Ohio in 1837. Springfield served as the seat of government until 1888, when Cleveland took over. As part of the Great Lakes region, Springfield was an important commercial center with a booming economy during the first half of the 20th century. However, its fortunes declined after World War II and suburban development began to take hold; today, Springfield is a small town with a population of about 75,000 residents.
