This decrease can be partially attributed to fewer funding allocations for public education across all states due to sequestration cuts which have impacted states' budgets specifically across civil service departments - this has resulted in layoffs among teachers statewide since 2011 Despite these challenges – including those stemming from sequestration – there are plans underway to redevelop areas like Gateway Park & Riverfront Park into mixed use buildings that would include restaurants/bars/theater/multi-use buildings adjacent to I-675 corridor - this would help increase access into downtown for pedestrians looking for shopping or entertainment options as well as creating more jobs opportunities for local residents who are skilled in construction
