Springdale is a city in Greene County, Ohio, United States. The population was 9,083 at the 2010 census. The city was founded on December 1, 1824 by General David Holcombe and named after Springdale Creek. It was incorporated as a town on August 4, 1871. On February 14, 1907, Springdale became an independent city.

Springdale is a town in Mahoning County, Ohio, United States. The population was 2,898 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Akron–Canton, OH-PA Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town was laid out in 1796 by John Greenleaf Whipple and named for Springdale Creek which flows through it. Springdale had a post office from 1816 to 1847. In 1870, the first school was built in Springdale and the first doctor was appointed in 1871. In 1905, a water tower was erected and in 1907 an electric light system went into operation. In 1911, the cornerstone of the present courthousewas laid and it opened on November 8 that year. The courthouse has been used as a courtroom since 1915 and also served as the fire department until 1957 when it became a police department again. The springvale Volunteer Fire Department (the "Fires") began services on May 5th 1888 with six men under Chief George Haggerty from what is now Springdale Village Light Company #2 who fought two major fires in that time frame: one on October 4th 1888 near US 52 & Keystone Road (now Northlake Drive) about ten miles north of town; another just east of US 62 & Warroad Road about twenty miles south of town on December 14th 1889 which destroyed over thirty buildings including four houses; both were started by Mrs Miller from her home across Main Street from where she boiled water to put out each fire due to lack of other means at that time

Springdale was founded in 1824 by Fur traders from Canada and named for John Springdale, an Englishman who had married a local woman. The first post office opened in 1827. The community developed around a school and general store on the edge of what is now the downtown area. In 1851, the U.S. government created Fairfield County to contain all of northwestern Ohio and Springdale became its county seat. In 1870, it annexed parts of neighboring townships including North Royalton and Athens Township; these changes made Springdale one of the most populous towns in Fairfield County. During World War I, many soldiers that lived in Springsville enlisted in the war effort and their homes were used as barracks for troops stationed at Fort Greene near Dayton.. In 1925, when Fairfield County merged with Lucas County to form new Ohio State University Districts within Ohio's state university system, Springdale was one of several communities within Lucas County that chose not to join the new district and continued to operate as independent municipalities until 1954 when they were re- merged intoFairfield Countyshipping program which continues today According to the Köppen Climate Classification system, Springdale has a humid subtropical climate (Cfa).
Springdale was founded in 1795 by pioneers of the U.S. Northwest Territory, who named it after the spring near their home in what is now Lebanon County, Pennsylvania. The town was incorporated on April 12, 1828 and grew rapidly due to its location next to a major transportation route and its natural resources including timber, coal, and water. In 1853 Springdale became the seat of government for Lebanon County when that area was divided into two counties; Springdale became part of Cuyahoga County while Lebanon continued to be part of Wayne County. The population of Springdale peaked at over 10,000 in 1920 but has since declined as a result of rising energy costs and other economic factors. Today, Springdale is a small community located just east of Dayton with a population size less than 500 people
