Springdale is located in the southernmost quadrant of Ohio and has a population of just over 10,000. It was founded in 1798 by American Revolutionary War veteran Colonel George Rogers Clark as an outpost on the Scioto River. In 1806, Springdale became part of the town of Xenia, and then Xenia Township in 1825. The township was consolidated with Springfield Township in 1911. Today, Springdale is a small but vibrant community that supports agriculture and outdoor recreation, including hunting and fishing opportunities. The city limits include portions of Xenia Township as well as parts of Springfield Township. The area around Springdale features rolling hills covered in trees and extensive farmland for agricultural purposes. Gun targets have been a common sight in Springdale since at least the 1800s when guns were first used to protect settlers from Native Americans. One such target is Summit Hill Tower which stands today at the intersection of US-7 and US-18 near the spring where it once stood (now known as Green Hills Park). This tower served as a shooting range for local militias until 1893 when it was destroyed by fire

Springdale, Ohio was the site of the most deadly school shooting in United States history on February 14, 2018. Three students and one teacher were killed when a student opened fire at Eastern School District's Springdale Middle School.
Springdale is a small town in northwest Ohio, United States. The population was 5,813 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Springfield–Marion County, Ohio Metropolitan Statistical Area. The area that now comprises Springdale was first settled by the Delaware and Western Indians in the 17th century. The first Europeans to come to this area were traders and soldiers from Pennsylvania who came through what is now southeastern Ohio during the French and Indian War. In 1795, General James Moncrief founded a post on the Scioto River near present-day Springdale for military purposes. In 1803, General Maury built his army's winter quarters here and named it Fort Moncrief after himself. In 1814, when Congress reorganized America after its victory in the Mexican-American War, it decided that parts of northeastern Ohio should be included within Indiana Territory under new territorial boundaries which would include Springfield Township (now part of Columbus). The land that became Springdale was annexed by Indiana in 1816 as part of that territory's creation. The early settlers here were primarily Methodists; however, Congregationalism also began to grow strong in this area soon afterward. In 1830s federal troops moved into this region during President Andrew Jackson's attempt to suppress American slavery while he was fighting against Democratic president John Fennelly on behalf of slaveowners across America. This led to increased tensions between white farmers and black slaves living among them; these events are known as "The Great Race Riot." After Jackson's reelection in 1835, he abandoned his efforts to abolitionize slavery throughout America and appointed Ulysses S. Grant as his secretary of war; this action likely contributed to further tension between whites and blacks living among them instead. During the 1840s many citizens of Springdale subscribed to plank road agitation championed by Senator Stephen Alder because they believed it would lead to railroads running through their township so they could get access to cheap labor for their businesses outside of Indiana Territory limits That campaign ultimately failed but helped spur investments in railsroads around this time That development eventually led directlyto Painesville becoming one of America's most important railroad towns during its heyday That era ended with defeat by Union forces at Battle Creek on October 16th 1862 due largely to poor strategy on both sides combined with factors such as strategic blunders caused by Colonel Robert Ebeling who had been given command by Union Brigadier General George Armstrong Custer over Confederate Major General Stonewall Jackson

Springdale is a small town in Hamilton County, Ohio, United States. The population was 4,570 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Columbus metropolitan area. The community was founded in 1814 by John Spring and his family as a stop on the National Road between Cincinnati and Indianapolis. In 1827, Elmira resident James Kapp purchased land in what would become Springdale from John Spring and laid out a Township according to his plans. A Post Office was established at Springdale in 1830, and remained in operation until it closed in 1907. In 1836, John Sprague erected the first log cabin in what would become Springdale. Sprague named the settlement after himself and his wife Priscilla (née White). The first store opened at SPRINGSIDE & HIGHWAY 49 on May 25, 1837; it was operated by Wm. Hanksen & Daughter under license from William Coleman of Cincinnati. In 1850s, many German immigrants arrived to live in Springdale and their children were educated here until they left for America during World War II when most of them moved to Lancaster or Cleveland due to wartime shortages of education resources back home. - In 1853, a schoolhouse called "The Academy" was built east of High Street which served grades 1-8 before being replaced with an addition that doubled as a church until 1906 when it burned down due to weathering damage; this event marks the first time that springdale had any sustained damage from natural causes during its history - In 1860s Hiram Fowler donated land for Springfield Cemetery which includes parts of now known as North Campus Extension east side of High Street south side of Court Avenue - By 1870 there were 3 churches located downtown with services offered 7 days per week: First Presbyterian (built 1865), Methodist Episcopal (1871), Baptist (1873), Dutch Reformed Church (1875) - From around 1900 onward school attendance increased beyond grade level starting at age 5 so some students moved into surrounding neighborhoods such as Fair Lawn/Easton Heights/Middletown while others stayed downtown full-time starting around 1923-1925 especially among African Americans since public schools did not open among whites until 1957 - By 1921 over 60% black residents lived within one mile radius while only 10% white residents
