Springdale, Ohio is a small town in the heart of the United States, located about an hour north of Cleveland. The majority of its population is made up of people who work in the nearby area of Akron and Cleveland. However, Springdale also has a large population of gun enthusiasts and gun owners. In fact, it is home to one of the few remaininggun stores in central Ohio. The history of guns in Springdale dates back to at least 1847 when John Haines opened a store here that sold pistols andshotguns. It was not until 1892 that Springdale became home to its first gun-related museum which was dedicated to shooting trophies and relics from around America. From there on out, Gun Museum began hosting displays on all aspectsof firearms including handguns, shotguns, rifles and machine guns. In addition to its exhibits and library, Gun Museum also operates a range which allows visitors to shoot replica firearms dating back as early as 1874.

Springdale is home to the Springdale Rifle and Pistol Club, founded in 1892. The club has been meeting at the old High School since then. It was also reported in the local paper that Springdale's first pistol was a Smith & Wesson Model 1. The first rifles were imported from Belgium by John A. Sellers of Cincinnati, Ohio in 1898. In 1906, the rifle and pistol clubs merged and began using the name "The Springdale Rifle and Pistol Club". In 1945, an addition to the school was made which allowed for more than one building on campus. This led to a new rifle range being built as well as pistols ranges for both boys and girls. In 1978, it became apparent that there was enough space on campus for another building so the rifle range was moved to its current location behind Administration Building. Today, members of The Springdale Rifle and Pistol Club help out at various shoots throughout the year including state matches, NRA Nationals (the annual national indoor shooting championships),raits exhibitions (an event where artists paint portraits of people who have died Famous Gun Owners), trap meets, flea markets/ swap meets/ etc., along with numerous other events not related to firearms generally held during semester breaks or during odd weeksdays off from school due to weather conditions or staff availability
Springdale is a small town in the western part of Ohio. The population was 9,811 at the 2010 census. It is located in Summit County. Springdale is one of the fifteen townships in Summit County. The first permanent settler in what would become Springdale was James Fenton, who arrived in 1795 and built a log cabin on a hill near where present-day Main Street crosses Overland Road. Fenton named his settlement after his home village of Springfield, England. By 1800, about 150 people lived there and farmed land around what would become Springdale Baptist Church and other buildings now located on Third Avenue south of First Street. In 1802, James Fenton's brother John bought 7 acres (2 km²) of land from Peter De Witt for $200 cash and erected a cabin on the site that still stands today as John Fenton's Cabin House. In 1803, Henry Clay moved to this area from Bowling Green to purchase 6 acres (2 km²) of upland northwest ofpresent-day Fallbrook for $135 cash with interest due every year until he accomplished his goal of owning 1/8 mile (1 kilometer) wide strip along both sides of road running through town center that became known as Clay Lane; it remains unincorporated today but forms part of Springdale’s eastern border today]. In 1807-1808, General Cassius Cushing fought against the British at Battle Creek during their war with America and may have been born hereabouts; many locals claim to have seen or interacted with him while living hereabouts including local historian Roy Chapman Jr.. On November 12th 1807, when General Cushing led an American force against anticipated British forces under Sir Robert Rogers at Mud Creek east side township – which resulted in Heavy losses for American Forces eventually resulting in Jealousy towards Americans by some & Cowardice among others – local citizens took up arms to repel invasion On January 15th 1810 Daniel Boone made landfall on Bald Head Island just north shorelineof Lake Erie off modern day Portsmouth Harbor according to early records then journeyed inland across open water & landed safely upon island opposite entrance into harbor thence exploring interior waters before setting ashore @ 2pm ] While Hunting Boone & family were ashore they reported seeing several Elk above high water mark ahead on mainland so bears were killed before group returned home successfully only 3 members returnin party: Capt.(ias) Hickey(brother), Abel Northcutt(carpenter)[], George McClung( Farmer ). In 1814, President James K. Polk issued an executive order authorizing construction of the Erie Canal through Ohio and into Pennsylvania. This created a need for transportation between Ohio and Pennsylvania, so springdale became one of the early towns in this region to start using canals for transportation purposes. The first canal boatload arrived on May 12th, 1815 from Newark (New Jersey). Many homes were built during this time around what is now Main Street and US 21st Avenue; however, few remain today because they have been replaced by more recent housing developments which use less land than their predecessors did back when these areas were primarily agricultural or rural communities with few residents other than farmers and their families
Springdale was founded in 1814 by General James H. Springdale, who had moving from his home in Lancaster, Pennsylvania to the area after learning of the Ohio Country's rich natural resources. The town was named for General Springdale's farmstead on a small stream near present-day Springfield. The first post office opened in 1816, and the first store was built in 1824. In the 1830s, Springdale became a stop on the Underground Railroad as many fugitive slaves were driven through its streets. In 1840, local residents voted to incorporate as a township. They soon developed an economy based on agriculture and commerce with neighboring townships. The township experienced significant growth following World War II when many manufacturing plants moved to Springdale; this led to increased development around the town center and schools which remain operational today. Today, Springdale is one of OSU's most vibrant communities where students explore their passions and join together for community service projects.
