Springdale is a town in Butler County, Ohio, United States. The population was 1,821 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Akron Metropolitan Statistical Area. The springdale post office was established in 1812 and discontinued operation in 1961. The first firearms store in Springdale was opened by Ezekiel Steward and David Dutton on Main Street in 1844. In 1865, John Fenton opened a store on Fourth Avenue which lasted until 1898. A second store was opened on State Road 9 west of town in 1922 by J.C. Forbes and his son Tom Forbes Jr., who also ran the business until 1984 when it closed its doors for good due to financial problems. In 1903, Hemanus Wooton organized the Springdale Rifle Club which held shoots every other year at his home from then until 1916 inclusive when he sold the property to Edmond Breeny for $1,000 cash and 10 acres (24 hectares). From 1916 to 1933, Hemanus Wooton directed the Springdale rifle club which held matches monthly at various locations including a fairgrounds near downtown where rifles could be bought or rented for shooting contests open to all residents of Butler County free of charge; these were known as "the county fairs". After WWI ended there were no more county fairs; competitions stopped because there wasn't enough demand from residents of rural areas outside of Akron to support them anymore In 1949-1950 an agreement was made between Springfield Armory and Butler county government whereby Springfield would open up shop next door to the courthouse(now known as Citizens Bank) on E Broad St., provide firearms storage/repair services for 2 years during summers only with no annual fee thereafter; this allowed citizens who wantedfirearms access without having to go through Springfield Armory When gun magazine company Military Armaments Corporation merged with National Firearms Association (NFA) it became apparent that NFA had too much ownership interest within MGC so negotiations ensued wherein MGC would sell its interests back to NFA while keeping some assets such as magazines etc.; this deal finally came together on January 15th 1951 when National Firearms Supply Company leased 6 floors of City Hall from MGC for $4 million over 20 years with an option for MGC to renew the lease indefinitely

Matson discontinued operations again after World War II because too much competition had arisen from modernized plants owned by other companies such as Dow Chemical Co.; however their plant reopened briefly during 1957-1959 before finally closing permanently due to technological advances which led to increased usage rates for plastics combined with environmental concerns!
