Springdale is a small town in the southern part of Ohio, United States. The population was 1,949 at the 2010 census. Springdale is located in Holmes County and is part of the Cincinnati–Middletown, OH-KY Metropolitan Statistical Area. The area that now makes up Springdale was first settled by Europeans in 1795 as part of what is now Hamilton Township. A post office called Springdale was established in 1810, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1907. In 1827, a group of Methodist ministers founded a church here which became known as First Presbyterian Church of Springdale. The building that remains today as First Presbyterian Church was built in 1829 by Reverend James Meeks and retains its original Greek Revival design. In 1830, John Crampton purchased land here from Moses Austin for $200 which he used to build his plantation on what is now State Route 24A north of town. He named it "Springs". On July 4th, 1840, about 100 citizens gathered at Springs for an outdoor celebration when they discovered a large root system under the road leading into town from the farmhouse where Crampton lived southward. This discovery led to the name "Springdale" being chosen for the new community – one day after President George Washington's birthday – since no other place had been found with this name yet (the term "springs" originated from early English settlement stories). When Ohio passed a law giving all residents equal rights before the law on November 3rd, 1792 (known as The Statute of Secrecy), many residents decided to move away because they were not sure if they would be able to get fair treatment under their new government based on their former British residency status quo. That same year saw also another important event when Elijah Hicks moved his family here from Nicholasville Kentucky after purchasing 4 miles (6 km) of main road across county line in what are now Highland Heights and Bellefontaine counties – making him one of only two African American men living within 50 miles (80 km) of Columbus at that time; he did so without any public support orbidirectional assistance from anyone else outside his own family members or friends largely due to discrimination thenexisting against black Americans operating outside whatever category/division such as slaveowners/workers/shoppers etc.– something still extant today among some segments both local and national level throughout America especially affecting Minority Ethnicities including Black people

Springdale is a small town in Stark County, Ohio, United States. The population was 1,811 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Dayton Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first post office in Springdale was established on November 12, 1801, and was called Greenup. The name for Springdale changed to its current form on November 3, 1885 when it became a village. On December 10, 1907, the village made itself an unincorporated community under the name of Springdale Heights. On January 1, 1945, the unincorporated communities of Stone Ridge and Western Hills were merged into Springdale to form a single community called "Springdale". On October 15th 1886 a group of men from nearby Miamisburg formed the First National Bank of Dayton with $5000 in capitalization which became one of America's largest banks. In 1898 Drury Wagon Wheel Manufacturing Company was founded by John Dory Drury with four wagon wheels designed as jewelry ornaments that could be stored anywhere and used again as often as needed- this started the industry for today's springdalers! On May 5th 1905 President Theodore Roosevelt delivered his famous address at Sanborn Park calling for national banking system reform which led to Franklin D. Roosevelt being elected president in 1944! This event helped spur development throughout Dayton in numerous ways such as new housing developments like Cedar Point and Oakwood Gardens; commercial businesses such as The Ford Motor Company and Jiffy Lube; civic organizations such as United Way and Rotary Club; and more! In 1957 Youngstown native Roy Berry started Berry Bros./Lancaster Carpet & Rug company making springsets that are still popular today among many people across America! He also started Sunoco gas stations along I-75 north of town starting up what would become one of America's most successful franchises! Today there are over 150 businesses operating withinSpringdale limits including several dozen restaurants/cafes (including two Applebee's), 50 retail stores including several anchor locations shopping malls (Erie Mall & Centerville Mall), 200 government buildings ( incl courthouse & jail ), dozens of residential properties dating back to 1800s/1900s plus many more development projects ongoing or just announced! One thing that has not changed much over recent years is our population’s love for spending time outdoors playing softball or fishing in our creek all winter long – we just happen to call it “springtime” now 😉
