Springboro, Ohio is a city in Stark County, Ohio, United States. The population was 7,588 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Dayton metropolitan area. The first permanent settler in Springboro was Daniel Webster who built a cabin on the current site of town in 1814. A schoolhouse and jail were also erected here during that early era. In 1825, Wm. Hennepin discovered coal mines in what is now Springboro and began extracting coal here from 1827 until his death in 1868; this represented one of the largest mining booms in American history at that time. During World War II, many local men served in the military including Sgt. John Fetterman (USAAF) who played football for the United States Navy during World War II as an Ace pilot with 8 victories and 2 losses while flying P-47 Thunderbolts from USS "Piney" (PG-817). Another local man to serve during WWII was Arthur Coughlin who founded The La Guardia Club which donated land to build a golf course hereabouts nearby on September 16th 1945 only 3 months after Pearl Harbor as America's answer to Europe's D-Day invasion plan! In 1967, Springboro became home to its own high school when Springfield High School moved into its new building on Broadway Avenue near downtown Springfield. That same year saw the opening of The Mayflower Tavern which served as both our original town hall and post office for over 50 years before being replaced by our current civic center complex in 2006!

As technology improved, so too did bullet usage in war- leading to even greater advantages for both combatants and enemies alike!

Springboro is a small town in Union County, Ohio, United States. The population was 1,919 at the 2010 census. It has been called the "Gateway to the Buckeye State" because of its location on the direct route between Akron and Columbus. Springboro was founded in 1790 by General David Williamson and named for Presbyterian minister John Knox. In 1812, Springboro became part of the Northwest Territory after Ohio lost its independence from Great Britain. In 1828, it became a part of the new state of Ohio. The first post office in Springboro was established in 1790, but no mail reached it until 1812 because of wagon trains that stopped there while travelling to other parts of Ohio during President George Washington's Ten-Week March through Union County. In 1830, Springboro had 2 stores and 5 residents when it joined with Zanesville to form the village of Zanesville which grew rapidly due to its location on a branch road leading east from Dayton to Bowling Green (now Middletown). The first school opened in 1831 and as springerville increased so did enrollment; by 1840 there were 10 schools open teaching grades one through twelve along with 3 churches. A store built by Solomon Ransom served as an early post office until 1850; afterwards mail was conveyed by stagecoach overland from Dayton to Zanesville which continued until 1907 when an electric line was built making transportation available throughout much of northwestern Ohio including Springboro. In 1830, Nathanial White moved his tannery four miles south from where he lived near what is now known as Old Factory Road into what is now Weiser Park after seeing land for sale near Lancaster Center on Beaver Creek just northwest of present day Springboro Heights Cemetery off US Route 422 within sight of his tannery buildings today’s intersection with Delaware Avenue NW (the old alignment Pennsylvania Turnpike). His business prospered until about 1800 when white flycatchers began using Beaver Creek for their nests resulting in many damage done to crops caused by these birds thus endangering human life which finally led himto build a fence around his tannery property effective July 1st 1800 keeping all said areas free from these feathered friends forevermore! Until about 1850 also many cattle drives took place yearly across this area being used for feedstuff for both men and animals crossing Beaver Creek upstream creating water crossings at present day Bigelow Park Bridge across Beaver creek near Schoolhouse Rd./SR 372 approximately three miles westNW cornerof present day Springboro Heights Cemetery Lots #4 & #5 adjoining.)
