South Euclid is a city in the U.S. state of Ohio and part of the Cleveland Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 38,865 at the 2010 census, making it the 11th largest city in Ohio and its second most populous suburb after Cleveland Heights. The city is located on the southern border of Cleveland County and is bordered by Strongsville to the south, Lorain to the east, Lakewood to the north and Medina to the west. The land that makes up South Euclid was first settled by Europeans in 1796 when Henry Knox founded a new town called North Euclid on land donated by his father-in-law, Peter Stuyvesant. In 1814, South Euclid was incorporated as a village under John Husted and became an independent city in 1836 when it annexed part of neighboring Cleveland. In 1916, South Euclid became one of seven cities withinCLEVELAND METRO AREA which were created as a result of enactment of THE CLEVELAND METRO AREA ACT OF 1916. This act divided Greater Cleveland into five metropolitan areas which would be administered by county commissioners appointed by Governor James Cox with power to create submetropolitan districts within each area. Since then South Euclid has undergone many changes including annexation of other suburbs such as Strongsville and Lorain; growth in downtown business; development around Progressive Field baseball park; increase in housing prices; increase in job opportunities; announcement that South Euclid will become home to The University of Akron campus for education (later renamed Case Western Reserve University); and much more!

In 1825, another man named John Herschel developed a type of binocular that had both lens and prisms which allowed people to watch stars at night without having to worry about getting blocked by them. The development of binoculars led to an increase in trade between countries due to the increased opportunities for travelers to see things far away without having to leave their homes.

South Euclid is a city in theuy of Cleveland, Ohio, United States. It was founded in 1811 by John Clemens and his family. The city became a suburb of Cleveland in 1922. South Euclid is located on the east side of downtown Cleveland and has a population of around 70,000 people as of 2010. The area that would become South Euclid was first inhabited by the Clements family, who had moved from Kentucky to Cleveland in 1810. The Clementses built their first home on what is now West Side Avenue. They were followed by other families who arrived during the 1830s and 1840s, including the Beardsleys and MacDougals. By 1850, most of what became known as South Euclid had been developed; only a small portion remained rural. In 1881, when Ohio State University opened its new campus in nearby Zionsville, South Euclid voted to annex it into the university's campus area. In 1922, when Cleveland annexed neighboring cities such as Strongsville and Mayfield Heights into its boundaries (known then asCLEVELAND CITY WEST SUBURBS), South Euclid also became part of CLEVELAND CITY WEST SUBURBS. Today’s south Euclid is one of many neighborhoods within CLEVELAND CITY WEST SUBURBS which maintain strong cultural ties with their ancestral hometowns throughout Northeast Ohio – something that can be seen through annual events such as “Euclidsfest” or “Festival de los Amigos de South Euclide” (aNeighborhood Festival). Another important identifier for this neighborhood is its large number of classical-era homes – some dating back to before 1800 – which continue to be used for purposes such as hosting music concerts or private functions year-round despite being close to modern day traffic signals and easily accessible public transportation options like Metrorail/Tram lines 4 & 5. One issue residents face every day is gentrification: With more people moving into districts like East Liverpool or Shaker Heights than ever before (due mostly to job opportunities available near downtown), many residents feel they are losing control over their own neighborhoods once again due to increased commercialization and development pressure from outside forces
Euclid was a neighborhood in the city of Cleveland, Ohio. It is now part of the University Circle district. Euclid began as a small Indian village on the east side of Euclid Avenue, between Second and Third Streets. The first Europeans to settle in what is now Euclid were Dutchmen in 1688, who founded an inn and tavern that became known as the Batavia House. A few years later, French traders arrived and built a house on what is now First Street. By 1701, there were ten European families living in Euclid: six Dutchmen, two Frenchmen, one Irishman, one Germanic person (likely Philips), one Swede (likely Johan) and one Italian person (likely Giovanni). In 1763-1764, when the colony of North America was organized into thirteen counties by George Washington as part of his New England Confederation government system, Euclid became part of Portage County. In 1815 it was annexed to Cleveland by act of Congress pursuant to the Mexican War; however it reverted back to its prior status within Cleveland soon after annexation. In 1846-1847 it again became part of Portage County but reabsorbed into Cleveland on July 6th following an act by Governor John Broughton which merged all twenty-six townships within Cleveland into one municipality called "The City." On February 9th 1870 this municipality was renamed "Euclid" under an act passed by the Ohio General Assembly which divided The City into wards for election purposes with each ward electing three council members plus mayor and treasurer. As with most other municipalities in The City during this time period it continued to be run through local elections rather than being put under state jurisdiction like most municipal governments across America at that time. On November 4th 1917 Euclid lost its charter due to changes made by Mayor James Maloney effective January 1st 1918 upon taking office; however Maloney had been elected November 3rd 1915 unopposed and so his term expired on December 31st 1917 without having accomplished any notable goals or accomplishments such as reducing crime or increasing development opportunities within the community since taking office two months earlier! This event led directly to increased tensions between Mayor James Maloney's faction within The City government and those fromWard 2 who wanted him gone altogether because they saw him as unwilling or unable to address their concerns about crime rates/ Development opportunities etc.; eventually leading to open warfare between these factions until finally Mayor Maloney resigned effective December 31st 1917 amidst much public outcry over his behavior! This event also marked the beginning of what would come to be known as "ThePython Years" where many high profile incidents/ repression took place while he wasMayor including numerous arrests/ trials related thereto includingThat infamous 'Rat Race' Massacre which left several innocent people dead along with widespread chaos throughout downtown streetscape; finally culminating with Pastor Richards murder grenade attack onMalone's homecoming parade some weeks later!
