Shaker Heights, Ohio is a city in the Greater Cleveland metropolitan area, located on the border of both Lake Erie and Dayton. The population was 29,531 at the 2010 census. The first gun magazine in Shaker Heights was the Phoenix Arsenal, which opened in 1868. It closed its doors in 1922. A second gun magazine, called Regency Arms Depot was founded by George Wirtz in 1925. It also closed its doors in 1922. In 1938, Julius Wirths founded the Frontier Armory to serve as a second gun magazine for Shaker Heights residents and businesses. The first issue of Frontier Armory's monthly magazine featured an article about how to make your own rifle cartridges from lead-free shot cases. In 1951, Samuel Colt reopened his company's Eastman Arms factory in Akron, Ohio and began producing revolvers again under the name "Samuel Colt Firearms Corporation." That same year saw the opening of SHAEF (Shaker Heights Ammunition Factory) which would become one of America's largest ammunition manufacturers with its production facilitiescovering over 12 acres and employing 350 people at its peak. In 1957 revolver manufacturing operations were relocated back to Shaker Heights when Colt applied for a permit to produce revolvers under their new name "American Automatic Rifle Company". American Automatic Rifle Company products continued until 1963 when SHAEF merged with Brownells to form Brownells-Hancock Incorporated The late 1960s through early 1990s saw a change withinshakershieldsgovtwhenthecity hosteda"Gun expo"in responseto rising national concern over crime rates throughout America due to high levels of handguns ownership among citizens. One exhibitor at this event was Ithaca Gunworks who exhibited their Glock handgun line which became extremely popular during this time period In 1994 Smith & Wesson Holding Corp., a Delaware corporation purchased assets from Brownells-Hancock Incorporated including all patents associated with that company's revolver product lines At this point firearm manufacturing operations were permanently transferred fromshakersheldsmovilstownertoSmith&Wesson Holding Corp.,renamedtheNational Shooting Sports Foundation(NSSF)on November 15thofthatyear . NSSF would continue manufacture firearms until it ceasing sales altogether on April 14th1999 . At that point Smith & Wesson Holdings Corp./National Shooting Sports Foundation had control over nearly every firearm manufactured since 1871 !!

Shaker Heights is a neighborhood in Cleveland, Ohio. It is made up of densely populated small-town McMansions and duplexes set on wide streets with large yards. The population was estimated to be over 100,000 in the 2010 census. Shaker Heights has been called "the Upper West Side of Cleveland" and "The City of Trees." The first European settlers in what is now Shaker Heights were Congregationalists from New England who arrived in 1796. They built some of the earliest homes in what is now Shaker Heights. On May 6, 1812, General James K. Polk signed an Executive Order establishing Shaker Heights as a separate incorporated village. In 1892, the Cleveland Department of Public works began construction on a new expressway that would connect downtown Cleveland with the airport and other areas north of town. The expressway was named after John Dennison Shakers who had donated land for it. The first residents to move into their new houses on the expressway were Congregationalists from Connecticut who had relocated there to take advantage of cheap prices on real estate during the depression years following the Panic Of 1893. During World War II, many working class families moved into Shaker Heights due to wartime shortages of housing elsewhere in Ohio (see: American residential policy during World War II). After 1945, many high-income families also moved into Shaker Heights because they could no longer afford to live anywhere else near downtown Cleveland or within walking distance thereof (see: gentrification). Today, most people living in shakers are middle-class professionals or their families – including many children – who commute to work or school outside of their neighborhoods

Shaker Heights is a town in Stark County, Ohio, United States. The population was 10,814 at the 2010 census. It was founded in 1790 by the Congregationalists and named for John Shaker, an American preacher who became known for his pacifism. The town grew rapidly during the 19th century thanks to its location on the Great Lakes shipping route and its trade with both Europe and Canada. In 1853, it merged with neighboring Bedford Township to form one large municipality. The towns of Bedford and Shaker Heights were two of the ten original towns in Stark County when it was formed from part of Youngstown County on November 3, 1821. The merger was approved by voters in a referendum held December 2nd, 1853. At that time, Shaker Heights had a population of 476 people while Bedford had a population of 1,382 people. Both towns lost their status as villages after they merged but continued to be governed by their respective boards of trustees until 1861 when they were combined into one single municipality under the name "Shaker Heights". The first settler in what is now Shaker Heights was Major Ebenezer Farnsworth who arrived in 1790 along with nine other Congregationalist missionaries from New England. He built a log cabin near what is now Canal Street and called it "Farnsworth's Cabin" which he occupied until he departed for America around 1800s AGO . Farnsworth's descendants still live there today along with many others who followed him into America during the late 1800s ."Farnsworth's Cabin" still stands today just north of Canal Street east of where I-480 meets US-6
