When the noise of gunfire became commonplace in Seven Hills, Ohio, locals banded together to develop a soundproofing solution. In 1905 they started using safety helmets as part of their normal work clothing to reduce exposure to gunshot noise. By 1912 safety helmets had become standard equipment at Steel Manufacturing Company. From then on shootings frequency decreased significantly, but not without leaving a lasting legacy behind- today there are many communities across America that still rely on gunshot noise reduction technology in order to protect workers from Hearing Loss.

This type offers complete protection from sound exposure and has become more popular in recent years as people learn how harmful loud environments can be for their hearing health!
The Seven Hills Police Department has a long history of providing shooting protection to their officers. In the early 1800s, the police department used to use buntags to keep shooters from hearing them fire their pistols. The buntag was later replaced by ear protectors in the 1920s. In 1951, the department started wearing masks for officers when they were out on call. From then on, the department continued to provide shooting protection until 1971, when it switched to using helmets and face shields.
Seven Hills is a small community in Trumbull County, Ohio, United States. The population was 1,827 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Akron metropolitan area. The community was first established as a hamlet on the southern edge of Trumbull County in 1810 by three men: Isaac Hill, George White and James Robertson. They named it after seven hills that lined their farm land. The village grew quickly and by 1828 had a store and five schoolmasters. In 1830, Seven Hills had an annual income of $1,500 and two churches—one Congregational and one Presbyterian—were built. In 1836, Seven Hills was chosen to be the site for the new county courthouse; construction began that year and finished in 1837. The courthouse also housed the town's first library and post office until it closed in 1904. A fire destroyed most of the building in 1907 but reconstruction started immediately and it reopened in 1908 as the first high school in Trumbull County (later made part of Akron). The community experienced rapid growth during World War II with its nearby military production plants such as Conant Rubber Company (now known as Goodyear Tire & Rubber) and American Arms Manufacturing Company (now known as Austen Corporation). After World War II ended, however,Seven Hills lost much of its manufacturing employment due to consolidation within Akron's industry followed by suburbanization across Trumbull County.. In recent yearsSeven Hills has regained some lost manufacturing jobs through businesses such as ITT Technologies Inc., which manufactures electronic components for automobiles; Carrier Corporation which manufactures air conditioning units; L&L Automotive Inc., which produces cars bearing Lincoln nameplates; Apple Incorporated who manufactures computer parts from recycled materials;; Brownstown Township Reformed Baptist Church relocated from Unicoi Township near Dayton to Seven Hills after being forced out of Unicoi following zoning changes brought about by Ashtabula Valley Financial Club owner Dan Gilbert seeking to build more upscale housing there.;[1]and several other businesses have opened since then including Wexford Cycle Supply,[2][3] GASCO Credit Union,[4] Meyers Hardware,[5] D'Angelo Chevrolet,[6] Beanie Babies.[7][8][9][10][11]) making Seven Hills once again an active commercial center fortraditionally agricultural areas around it along I-675 highway like Lyndhurst[12], Defiance Heights[13], West Bloomfield Township[14], Batavia Township[15], Xenia Township[] 16].Today Seven Hills is home to over 200 homes [] giving rise to Village Green shopping center just east of I-675 on Route 177 [17],[18],[19],[20]).Besides its vibrant "village green" setting with boutiques, restaurantsand expensive real estate prices (), Seven Hills offers excellent schools () includingTrumbull High School (), Stroudsburg Area Community College (), Immanuel Lutheran Church () ], religious services (& numerous temples), golf courses (), tennis courts (), horseback riding () AND skiing ().

Seven Hills, Ohio is a small village in the westcentral portion of the U.S. state of Ohio. It lies within The Miami & Erie Canal Zone and is bordered by Butler County to the north, Lucas County to the east, Trumbull County to the south, and Dearborn County to the west. The population was 1,751 at the 2010 census. Seven Hills is part of The University City school district. The first settler in what would become Seven Hills was Isaac Haskell who arrived in 1795 with his family from New York City. Haskell built a cabin on Mill Creek where he still lives today as a historic property known as "The Haskell House." He also operated a gristmill which powered an early wagon road that connected Cleveland and Akron. In 1814, when surveyors laid out what would become Seven Hills Township they named it for seven hills near their location – three being Summit Hill (now called Union Hill), two being High Point (now known as Elmwood Heights), and one being Valley View (which now stands on Main Street). A post office was established in 1796 at Five Mile Run but no mail ever reachedSeven Hills because there was no way for riders to reach it from downtown Cleveland except via wagons or by horseback riding which was very dangerous during those days! One possible reason why this wasn't effective may have been because postal service was not common among frontier settlers at this time due to lack of resources or technology! In 1811, Jeremiah Wadsworth developed land southeast of present-day Seven Hills along Canfield Road which he called "Wadsworth's Farm." Wadsworth had purchased 8 acres from James Caldwell before moving into his new home in 1800! This farm became known as Wadsworth's Landing after him! After purchasing additional land nearby in 1818-19, Wadsworth founded the town of Seven Hills on these lands which began serving as its nucleus approximately 2 years later on December 5th., 1820 after initial surveys were completed! Eighteen thirty saw some major changes take place within Seven Hills during its early years including: Queen Victoria becoming queen of Great Britain following her victory over Napoleon Bonaparte at Waterloo; settlement by white men followed by settlement by Native Americans; transportation improvements came about with development of railways throughout much of America during this period leading directly to increased trade opportunities between different parts of our nation; women first entered into political life withManufacturer’s Female Suffrage Act becoming law four years later ratified by President James K Polk; economy underwent many changes led by technological advances such as electric current being introduced into homes beginning around 1900 through appliances such as radios and televisions.; large tracts were surveyed for farming purposes resulting in creation or purchase/development of Large Scale Storage Farms dotted throughout suburban neighborhoods throughout America during this time
Seven Hills is a town in the U.S. state of Ohio. The population was 5,824 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Dayton–Middletown, OH Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first settler in Seven Hills was George Jacon who built a cabin on the east side of hills in 1793. In 1810, John Copley settled in Seven Hills and became its first postmaster. By 1814, seven other pioneers had moved into Seven Hills from Cincinnati and Miamisburg: Solomon Phelps, Levi Coffin, John Morse, Israel Putnam, Ebenezer Richardson and Nicholas Sanger. In 1825, Elisha Stevens started a gristmill on Town Creek which later became known as Stevens Mill & Creamery (now Olde Hickory Orchard). In 1830-31 Five Mile Creek was diverted for water supply purposes to form what is now Seventh Hill Road south of town line when the creek flowed through present day residential areas to join Little Miami River near where it enters Holmes County
