The first rifle class was held on October 3, 1922 with fifty-six rifles and shotguns being entered. This range also served as an ammunition store for the community. In 1923, Seven Hills Rifle and Shotgun Range became a public shooting ground when it was donated by Mrs. Lillian Nessels to the town of Seven Hills. The first shotgun class was held on May 6, 1923 with thirty-four shotguns being entered into competition. The range also served as an ammunition store for the community until 1951 when it closed due to low sales volume. In 1954,Seven Hills Rifle and Shotgun Range reopened under new management as a hunting and fishing pond which remains open to this day! In 1964, Seven Hills Rifle and Shotgun Range became a privateGun Club after several members offered their land for this purpose! Seven Hills is a city in the U.S. state of Ohio, located on the Scioto River. The population was 16,652 at the 2010 census and is the second most populous city in Greater Cincinnati after Cincinnati proper. The first permanent settler in what would become Seven Hills was Jacob Tenney, who arrived in 1792 with his family from Connecticut. He organized a township and named it Tenney Township. When he died in 1807, his son Christopher took over leadership of the township and named it Seven Hills Township after himself and other family members who had also settled there. The name stuck, even though some people moved to other townships during the early years of the township's existence. In 1834, when Seven Hills Municipalality was formed from parts of several villages within Lucas County, the name change became official as well. One such mill was founded by Nicholas Day in 1825; it remains one of Sixteenth Street's most prominent landmarks today. By 1830, daytons were being imported into America via canal from Liverpool so that they could be made into textiles like quilts or bedsheets; this opened up new opportunities for trade with Europe which led to increased business activity around town. It closed down but portions have been redeveloped including residences near PNC Arena since 2017 In 1984-1986 a major development project called "The Mills" went forward adjacent to now defunct Butler University which included an indoor shopping mall (now known as Regal Cinemas), office buildings/residential towers (now known as Cardinal Village), multiple sports fields (now known as Dayton Stadium) northward along Sixth Avenue towards Interstate 71/Middletown Pike while southward along Riverside Drive towards I-71 exit #2 & Middletown Pike Today those areas are home to many large companies such as AT&T(now Time Warner)and Walgreens Boots Alliance while smaller businesses remain throughout nucleus including small grocery store anchors like Kroger(which merged with Sam’s Club)and Home Depot The city has experienced growth throughout recent decades due largely to heavy investment by both private employers and individual entrepreneurs alike resulting in more jobs creation than loss – making it one of America’s fastest growing cities over time .
