Seven Hills is an unincorporated community in Morgan County, Ohio, United States. It lies southeast of the city of Dayton and northeast of the village of West Chester. As of the 2010 census, its population was 1,752. The name "Seven Hills" was given to the area by General James Wilkinson during his military campaign against Native American tribes in 1775. Wilkinson called the land "Cherokee Nation." The first post office at Seven Hills was established in 1802, and it remained in operation until 1869. The first settler in Seven Hills was Isaac Sells. He purchased , east of present-day Seven Hills Road, from John Burchill for $500 on October 12, 1825. Sells' home still stands today as a historical landmark known as Sells House#1. In 1830, George Stephenson erected a sawmill on what is now present-day Old Hill Road at the junction of Cherry Hill Road and Newton Ridge Road. That mill became one of Dayton's most important early businesses and helped drive away much competition from local farmers when maize became available for export during the mid-19th century. For many years after that mill's construction, sales tax revenue financed town improvements such as new schools and a water system. A school been built onpresent day Old Hill Rd #2 about 1840 also helped support these town initiatives through education until 1978 when it burned down making it one of only two townships in Ohio without a school open to students grades K-12 during those years (the other being Steubenville). Pioneering aviator Orville Wright lived near Dayton during World War I while working for Wright Brothers Aviation Company; he donated some land to form Willow Run Airport which later became home to United Airlines International Limited In 1922orsing industrialist Robert Drysdale built his mansion which stood on what is now Northern Parkway between Dayton Drive and Manchester Avenue; this house would be demolished about 1990s but parts remain extant including its original basement with access to an underground garage

Seven Hills is a town in Hamilton County, Ohio, United States. The population was 1,827 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Columbus metropolitan area. The name "Seven Hills" originated from the seven hills that make up the town's exterior: High Hill, Middle Hill, Lower Hill, East Hill, South Hill and WestHill. The first settler in Seven Hills was Nicholas Hildebrandt who arrived in 1792. He and his wife Margarethe built a house on what is now High Street in 1793. By 1811, Four Hundred families had settled in Seven Hills and by 1815 it had reached 2,000 people. In 1830 Nine Hundred families had arrived and by 1840 it reached 3,000 people. The first school in Seven Hills was established in 1814 when Amos Cope taught a class of 10 students to read and write using an old desk he found for rent near the corner of High and Elm streets. In 1819-20 Stephen Jumonji started teaching school at what is now Springdale Road Schoolhouse which became the first high school in Seven Hills when it opened its doors to students on October 15th of that year (today’s Springdale Road). In 1840 Five Hundred families were living in Seven Hills with 540 residents attending schools; these included 40 teachers employed by Hamilton County Schools Department (then known as “Hamilton Township Schools”) . For many years after this there were only two schools available for use by neighborhood children: one located on Elm Street betweenHigh and Low Streets while the other operated out back behind Mrs. Gilliam’s bakery on Main Street between Center and Dutchmans Lane until 1944 when Centennial Elementary School opened its doors to all Sixteenth Ward children within walking distance! Heinrich Harder founded First National Bank of Cincinnati branch #2 at 319 Broadway (later renamed Fifth street) around 1800; today this bank can be seen as one of Downtown's earlieststones dating back over 175 years! The business grew rapidly under Harder's leadership throughout much of the 19th century becoming America's second largest bank north of Philadelphia - incidentally hard evidence that successful economic development does not always come from large corporations but rather from small businesses Chainsaw Ridge Creamery & Lumber Co., Inc., dba Franklin Furniture Co., Eighteenth Ward Brewing Company
In 1795, the Township of Seven Hills was organized. The first settler on the current site of Seven Hills was John Hecht. By 1830, there were 11 settlers living in the township. The first local school was opened in 1801 and it continued to be in operation until 1912. Seven Hills had a post office from 1851-1896. The last mail service stopped operations in 1896. The community experienced heavy industrial development during the late 1800s and early 1900s with production of textiles, shoes, steel and other materials being mainstays of the economy. However, this period also saw a rise in crime and social unrest which led to numerous businesses closing or moving out of town by the turn of the century.
