Another shooting took place on December 21st 2018 when Joshua Findlay shot two men inside their car before turning his pistol on himself . Findlay had been convicted of felonious assault earlier that year and thus was not eligible for firearm ownership under Ohio law at the time he committed these crimes Finally, another Shooting took place on January 5th 2019 when Timothy Crain killed his wife after she caught him possessing an unlicensed gun at home . Aftermath showed that even thoughgun control laws are often tightened following mass shootings like these ones, they are not always enough to prevent tragedies like this from happening again

Sandusky, Ohio is a town located in Butler County, Ohio, United States. The population was 9,867 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Cleveland–Akron Metropolitan Statistical Area. Sandusky is best known for the football team of the University of Pittsburgh Panthers and its associated school district. The area that now makes up Sandusky was first settled by Native Americans in the late 18th century. The first European to visit what is now Sandusky was Giovanni da Verde in 1768; he named it "Niskayuna". In 1795, Benjamin Logan purchased 640 acres (2 km²) of land from Chief Tariana and established a farm there called Logan's Purchase. A log cabin was built on this farm in 1800 by John Brougham as his home and office. In 1812, General James Kieft bought Logan's Farm from him and renamed it Kieft's Purchase after himself. In 1814-15, Timothy White platted what would become Sandusky on land that he had purchased from Chief Tariana near where present day Park Avenue & Third Street stands today (the original village site). The plat included a school house and a small lot for settlement which later became First Congregational Churchyard. white also erected two other structures on this property: an outhouse (now First United Methodist Church) and a barn/smithy shop (now Second Presbyterian Church). During the American Civil War, much of eastern Butler County sided with Union forces over Confederate troops; some residents moved to nearby Kenton to support those forces while others chose not to leave their homes altogether. When Union forces captured Fort Warren July 8 1863, they burned all but one building within miles of Warsaw – including First Congregational Church – before moving into town to take possession.. On November 15 1863 during the Battle of Perrysburg General Ulysses S Grant ordered an evacuation from Warsaw due to heavy losses suffered by his army; most people who did not flee were Sherman’s men who burned most buildings in town prior to leaving.. Most citizens chose not to move away during or immediately following these events as they had little choice given how far away their homes were from the battlefield.. By 1865 many residents had returned home following Ulysses S Grant’s surrender at Appomattox Court House.. This period saw several changes Take place within sandusky including: becoming an unincorporated community when Westmoreland Township was created effective March 1 1870; incorporation of Butler County effective May 14 1890 as per terms set forth in An act creating township boundaries ; creation of University Park School District April 3 1920 by act entitled “An Act To authorize expenditures for public education therein” vested with authority thereto under provisions then existing respecting local government schools ; erectionof Second Presbyterian Church october 20 1921 . Sandusky Post Office opened September 10 1902 .from October 25 1922 until December 6 1923 it operated under name “Cleveland Hts” until consolidation with Kenton resulted which changed name back againOctober 24 1933 .Sandusky incorporated as borough November 5 1932 having been earnestly petitioned for more than six years previous ..The borough colors are green and gold which represent tradition , progressiveness & service
