In March 2013, it was announced thatSandusky would be pleading guilty to 45 counts of child pornography offences and spending time with 10 young boys over four decades ago-including 12-year old Penn State student Anthony Sowell-in order to receive probation instead of life imprisonment. As part of his plea agreement, which includes tearful testimony from some victims about their experience under Sandusky’s guidance during those years,[1] he also must register as a sex offender for the rest of his life. Additionally, each victim will receive $40 million dollars in restitution[2]

Sandusky, Ohio is a small town in Stark County, Ohio, United States. The population was 1,814 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Cincinnati metropolitan area. The original Sandusky Post Office was established on June 10, 1827, and closed on November 30, 1909. The early history of Sandusky can be traced back to 1795 when two men named George and David Smith founded the village of Sandusky on land that they had purchased from the Muskingum River Indian Nation. In 1806, John Crouse built a log cabin in what is now the downtown core of Sandusky while working as a surveyor for the Ohio Land Company. In 1809, Isaac Weld bought 80 acres (30 ha) of land called "Sandusky" from David Smith for $200 cash. He began to build an addition to his cabin which became known as "Weld's Castle." The first school in Sandusky was erected near where it stands today by Dr. James Caldwell in 1820-21; it was moved to its present location within weeks after it opened. When America was hit hard by financial difficulties during the Panic of 1837-38, many farmers went bankrupt and had to sell their properties; this included Weld's castle including much of what are now downtownsandusk.. In 1840-41, Andrew Jourdan built a gristmill on stream meanders just north of town center across from current day First United Methodist Church building (built 1888). This mill continued production until 1860 when it burned down due to bad water conditions; afterwards local residents used native hickory logs as fuel for their fires until 1887 when a new gristmill was constructed on Main Street just east of town square using lumber salvaged from previous mills firebranding operations.. Beginning in 1865-66 three wagonloads each week were brought by wagon driver Elijah Sprague into town with cedar chests full of sandstone lime according to one account.. By 1870 there were five shops serving general merchandise and two restaurants open daily... By 1906 there were 11 stores and six restaurants with 3 miles (4 km)worth (6 mi)of flour available daily... A post office has been located here continuously since October 2nd 1796 when Amos Kendall opened an operation under license from Colonel John Thompson who had acquired government property east side Millrace Road... At 1 p.m., Tuesdays through Saturdays starting July 1st all mail must be placed out at approach road crossing then carried about half way up hill into old post office where clerk locks box after process.... Exchange rates ranged from $2 per pound Sterling ($0.62 USD) to $5 per pound Sterling ($1 CAD), payable in cash or check drawn on bank adjacent store... In 1907 Drs Hanna & McDowell organized primary schools around central business district with grades K-12th grade being taught first Monday morning preceding state Fairgrounds parade which would include marching band playing all afternoon long followed by parents dropping children off back at homes... After state fairgrounds parade took place main street returned under control of school system .... Daily bagel sales started February 9th 1889 with current location becoming bakery December 5th 1912
