Reynoldsburg, Ohio is a town in Muskingum County, Ohio, United States. The population was 8,804 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Cleveland-Akron-Canton, OH Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first guns were made here in 1811 by Nicholas Reynolds and his partner Daniel Webster. The company that Reynolds founded produced pistols and rifles for use by the military and law enforcement until it merged with another firearms company in 1827 to become Colt Firearms Manufacturing Company. After Colt’s bankruptcy in 1873, rifle manufacturing shifted to West Point Armory near Akron which became known as “The Arsenal of the World” because of its production of high quality rifles including the Model 1886 American Rifle used by Ulysses S. Grant during the American Civil War. In 1903, a group of citizens led by James Reese started an arms dealership called The Reeboks Arms Corporation which soon became one of Reynoldsburg's most important businesses. At its height The Reeboks Arms Corporation operated over twenty stores across Muskingum and Summit Counties selling both handguns and rifles to civilians as well as government agencies like the FBI and Department of Justice. In 1978 The Reeboks Arms Corporation was purchased by Brownells Incorporated who continue to operate it today as one of America's leading firearms retailers - stocking everything from shotguns to assault weapons!

The township experienced economic prosperity during World War II due to its proximity to salt mines and manufacturing plants nearby. After the war, Reynoldstown experienced growth as an agricultural community with several farms becoming small businesses that grew into large operations over time. Reynoldtown also played a role in developing Ohio's first statewide education system with two high schools established here in 1946 and 1978 respectively. Since then, Reynoldstown has seen continued growth as an educational center with several colleges and universities making their presence felt including Case Western Reserve University, Smith College, Berea College, Springboro Community College, Youngstown State University and Lima (OH) Community College among others
