The first airguns were created in 1892 by John F. Kennedy and his brother, Edward F. Kennedy. The brothers designed a six-barrel shotgun that used compressed air to shoot rounds off a telescoping stock. It was not successful and the brothers gave up their idea. In 1911, George Waddell developed an air rifle that fired pellets using a gas cartridge instead of powder. His rifle was very successful and he began to sell it commercially. In 1912, Eugene Chiappa developed a similar air rifle that used black powder cartridges instead of gas cartridges. This weapon was more successful and Chiappa started selling it commercially too. In the 1930s, various inventors worked on developing modernized versions of older firearms which used small amounts of nitrogen or helium as propellantsinstead of gunpowder. These firearms were called “air guns” because they could be fired with compressed air rather than with traditional ammunition types like shot or ball breeches

Reading, Ohio is a small city in the U.S. state of Ohio. The population was 5,463 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat for Cook County and part of the Chicago metropolitan area. The city is located on the southern edge of Greater Cleveland, about 20 miles (30 km) east of Cleveland proper and 60 miles (100 km) south-southeast of Columbus. The first Europeans to visit Reading were French traders in 1734 who named it Pointe aux Meadows due to its location near a point where several streams converged. In 1801, after being organized as a town by General Anthony Wayne, it was renamed from Pointe aux Meadows to Reading because John Richardson had proposed that name in 1785 while he was Speaker of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. In 1818, when Congress created Franklin County, it included parts of what are now Readings Township and Medina Township; these were all detached from Cuyahoga County in 1821. At first most residents living within coterminous township boundaries voted for one member of the Board of Commissioners but this changed with each new township formed; as a result, citizens living within coterminous township boundaries continue to elect one members to the Board even though they no longer vote on matters affecting their entire township

Reading, Ohio is a small town in the state of Ohio, located within the Greater Cleveland area. The population was 9,653 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Cincinnati metropolitan area. The village of Reading was established in 1823 as an agricultural community on the edge of what is now Delaware County. By 1840, it had grown to include a school and two churches. In 1846, Reading became an incorporated town and soon afterwards annexed by nearby Cleveland. Growth continued until 1965 when Cleveland annexeed all of Medina County including Reading proper; this left Readington with just 5,572 residents remaining on its original 1-square-mile territory. Since its incorporation as a village in 1823, Reading has been home to many important people in Republican Party history. Its first Mayor was James Caldwell (1827-29), who served three terms before becoming Auditor General under President Andrew Johnson and then Vice President Richard Nixon during that time period; he also served as Municipal Judge from 1889 to 1893 and again from 1901 to 1905; his successor was George Wirtz (1905-9). Representative John Fenton (D), who represented Medina County’s 3rd congressional district from 1924 until his death in 1951, received his undergraduate education at University of Akron where he first ran for office in 1916 – only four years after earning an LLB from law school—and would later become one of Ohio’s most powerful politicsmen thanks to his work as Speaker of the House from 1945 until his retirement in 1979; future Governor Ted Strickland (D) also attended UA and eventually became one of Cleveland’s most successful mayors before winning national office twice as mayor of New York City beginning in 1989—the last five years span during which he held both posts simultaneously. In addition to these local political icons, other prominent citizens associated with Reading over time include: circuit judge Lucius Neely (born 1830 near Painesville); industrialist Gurdon Lattimore (1860–1937); Navy lieutenant colonel Franklin Dorman (1915–2005); television executive Lew Wasserman (bureaucrat/entrepreneur/founder/President Clinton’s campaign manager 1996–2000) and restaurateur Rick Steves (Hollywood producer). The current portion of Route 22 running through downtown Reading dates back to 1921 when it followed what is now First Street NE between West Side Highway and Euclid Avenue NW while Second StreetNW ran along East Side Highway southward concurrent with Erie Boulevard SW. The street renaming occurred on May 16th 1955 when US 20E got reroute around Orchard Hills Road east side into downtown where it intersected Second StreetNW then Third StreetNW forming what is currently known as Eighth AvenueEAST today! A few blocks east off Eighth AvenueEAST stands another significant event taking place throughout our township's history; William McKinley Square built specifically for him back when our namesake resided here!
In 1801, the Ohio Territory was organized from parts of Virginia and Kentucky. In 1803, the United States Congress created the government of Indiana Territory. The following year, the territory became a state when it was admitted to the Union.
