In Ravenna, Ohio, there is a museum that celebrates firearm t-shirts. The museum was founded in 1984 by local historian and NRA lobbyist Donny Deutschman. In 1892, American Welder & Machine Works began making rifle clothing for law enforcement officers in America. During World War II, ammunition manufacturers shifted their focus from munitions to armor piercing munitions (APM). As a result of this change in focus, many apparel companies began producing military surplus clothing specifically for APM use. This included both civilian wear and police officers’ uniforms. One such company was Armoury Shoes Company (ASCO), which produced militarily themed T-shirts throughout World War II under various brand names like “Warrior” and “Arsenal”. After World War II ended, most firearm manufacturers closed down or changed their product lines entirely due to competitive pressure from rival Ammunition Producers Incorporated (API). However ASCO continued to produce militarilythemed T-shirts until it too folded up shop in the late 1960s due to economic limitations caused by newly emerging technologies like fiberglass reinforced plastic (FAPI). Today only a few remnant caches remain of these prior products lineups; most notably ASCO's "Artillery" shirt line which continues today albeit under another name

Ravenna was founded in 1812 by Captain John Crain and his brother James Crain. The first house in Ravenna was built on the site of present day Municipal Park. In 1814 Captain John Crain's grandson married Anna Maria Haggerty of nearby Greenville and they moved to Ravenna and started a family. In 1827 Captain John Crain's great grandson also married Anna Maria Haggerty and they continued to live there until 1840 when they moved to Cincinnati because of the American Civil War. In 1868 Major General David Blount leased 2,000 acres (1 km²) from Nicholas Brown for $4 an acre ($0.50 per square metre). When Cleveland annexed Ashland County in 1888, land around Ravenna became part of Cleveland as well. The townsite was platted in 1895 by Jno Muhlenberg with additions made by George Wickenheiser in 1903 and 1911 after which it has been called "The City of Oakdale". In 1907 philanthropist Andrew Carnegie donated cash for new streets, sidewalks and other infrastructure projects within the limits of what would become known as "The City of Oakdale" adjacent to his Carnegie Hall estate; these were completed less than two years later on October 15th 1909 when he hosted a dedication banquet at Carnegie Hall attended by Mayor Abram Levy (now Ashland County Sheriff), Commissioners Josephine Bogan (now Common Pleas Judge), Augustus Kelley (then Editor-in-Chief or Mayor pro tempore of Price county), Representatives Julius Hendrickson (then member from Price county) and Elisha Holmes Twist (then member from Cook county). This event marked not only Carnegie's donation but also that Ravenna had reached its present size with over one thousand residents! Over time many civic institutions have arisen around this vibrant community such as Arbor Day Nursery School & Garden since 1978; "Ohio' s First Open Air Playground" opened its doors in 1988 - now considered an historical landmark; local businesses have grown along side schools including several wineries dotting the landscape; Frank Sinatra Jr.'s Mansion overlooks much of downtown while another major development - Oneonta Golf Club - began operations just outside city limits in 2004 making Ravenna one stop shopping destination!
