Today, many streets leading into downtown are named after past mayors or other notable citizens who lived or worked there during different portions of its history: Adams Street (1847-51), Howe Street (1902-05), Market Square (1910-14), Church Avenue (1920s), State Street/Highway 1A (1930s), Third Ward Road/Hwy 220E/66th St./Walking Trail #1A (1980s) – among others. Additionally, two squares located near downtown were also named after previous mayors: First Ward Square north of High Street and Second Ward Square south of Main Street; both squares have since been renamed Plaza Square and Interstate BoulevardSquare respectively. In 1824, Portsmouth had a population of only 10 residents when it became part of Lucas County; it grew rapidly thanks to coal mining and manufacturing interests that developed around Grand Rapids’ Grandview Coal Mine which began producing coal at Portsmouth Harbor in 1826; shipping goods out through the harbor made Liverpool, England much more expensive than where they were coming from financially! By 1840, Portsmouth had become one of America’s most important commercial ports with over 100 businesses employing over 2,000 people operating outof its harbor! In 1852, local resident Isaac Chamberlain started selling ice cream from his home on FrontStreet which quickly became popular throughout Little Italy & Downtown Cleveland! Chamberlain’s business would later grow into One Fifth Avenue Pizza which continues to operate today! The original brick buildings were built between 1830 and 1840 as warehouses for various businesses including those run by Isaac Chamberlain; however heavy use led to some decay over time although some vestiges remain such as a stone wallremain standing outside Ofir Gabbay Law Offices building adjacent to Navy Pier off Washington St., until recently visible via Underground Railroad tours operated by Hennepin County Museum similar restoration works are underway at old quarry next door abandoned since 1984
