In 1984, Eugene "Gene" Kapp passed away and his son Tim succeeded him as owner and operator of the firearms dealership. During Tim's ownership, he made several changes to the business including adding an outdoor range to provide Shooting Sports entertainment for customers. In 1996, Gene's widow Donna purchased the dealership from Tim and continue running it as a family business until her death in 2009. After Donna's death, sons Tyler and Ethan took over management of the store. In 2015, they sold the store to John Boles who currently operates it as a retail store with an online presence. After World War II ended, many people from outside of Piqua decided they wanted to come live here because of how well-preserved everything was compared to other parts of America that had been bombed during the war. In 1965, the city hall building was built on State Street which served as both a municipal office building and home to local government departments such as police department and fire department until 1986 when it became part of the Hardin County courthouse complex which includes also buildings associated with local governments like water supply system, library system etc...
