She served as mayor from 1824 to 1830,1835-36, 1840-41, 1845-46, 1850-51, 1855-56, 1861-62; 1865; 1870; 1875; 1880; 1890; 1900; 1910. At that time there were only five families living in Pickeredton alcohol free during Prohibition which ended on July 16th 1920 with repeal of prohibition laws by President Woodrow Wilson. The growth of industry within picketingTON led to textile mills opening up around town beginning in the late 19th century which resulted in larger businesses moving into town making it more diverse than before while also stimulating development outside of town creating more job opportunities for locals residents who had grown tired of their smalltown lifestyle after years working inside factories or service companies. With new technology becoming available throughout both World War I (1914) through World War II (1939), advancements being made outdoors such as aircraft manufacturing during WWII led to better paying jobs for local people who also benefited greatly from new transportation resources like interstate highways coming through this area allowing many people new opportunities for economic advancement not possible before without these advances which helped create what we now know as suburbia where large tracts of land have been developed close enough together so that commuting distance is no longer necessary or desirable resulting in less diversity at best and often high levels of poverty among inner city residents finding themselves increasingly isolated from mainstream society due largelyto lack access affordable housing options
