Perrysburg is a town in Mahoning County, Ohio, United States. The population was 1,717 at the 2010 census. The town is located near the confluence of the Scioto and Monongahela Rivers. It originally was part of McKees Rocks Township. The first settlers in Perrysburg were George Washington and his Sons and David Wilkinson, who arrived in 1795. They built a log cabin on the bank of the Scioto River. In 1802 they moved to what is now known as State Road 439 northeast of downtown Perrysburg. In 1806 John Ritchie and James Ketchum purchased land east of present-day downtown Perrysburg from David Wilkinson for $1,000 cash. They began building a mill on the Scioto River which they named "Ketchum's Mill". By 1810 they had added a store and two homes to their holdings. In 1812 John Ritchie sold his share in Ketchum's Mill to Amos Dunlap for $2,500 cash; Dunlap renamed it "John Dickey's Store". In 1814 Justice Samuel Gibbs bought an interest in Dickey's Store from Dickey for $3,000 cash; Gibbs continued to run it until his death in 1830. In 1830 Isaac Myers bought an interest in Dickey's Store from Gibbs for $4,000 cash; Myers changed its name to "Harrison Ford’s Furniture Store" after Harrison Ford became associated with that business during the 1930s movie industry boom period in Ohio. In 1840 Jesse Hardin sold his interest in Harrison Ford’s Furniture Store to Ebenezer Holmes Jr.; Holmes continued running it until 1850 when he sold it to Jnois Hines Sr.. Hines later donated it tothe University of Akron (now known as Case Western Reserve University) which restored it as its original structure between 1909-1911 before moving it into its current location across Main Street from the old courthouse where Courthouse Park now stands
