Reloading became more widespread after the invention of the revolver in 1829.

Parma, Ohio is a city in the U.S. state of Ohio and the county seat of Summit County. As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 54,814. The metropolitan area has a population of 117,414 and is made up of all or part of seven other counties in Ohio including Cuyahoga, Lake, Lucas, Noble and Steuben Counties as well as Portage County in Michigan. It lies on the border with Pennsylvania across the Scioto River. The first Europeans to visit what is now Parma were French traders who landed there in 1688 after sailing down the river from Detroit Territory (now Michigan). They named their new town after Paoli (pronounced "pa-lay"), an Italian trading post near modern day Lebanon that was abandoned by them during their exploration. In 1795, Parma was erected as a village by commissioners appointed by General George Washington to govern lands westward along the Scioto River which had been set aside for settlement by his fathers expedition under Major James Kieft two years earlier. By 1800, Parma had become one of four villages located on or near the present site of downtown Parma - along with Albion (now Dayton), Athens (now Cincinnati), and Millvale (now Akron). In 1801-1802 Congress passed an act providing for township formation within Summit County; henceforth every township formed within Summit County became an independent municipality when it joined Union Township in 1836. On July 1st 1860 – just over one hundred years after western boundaries were drawn – Summit Township merged into newly created Parma Township which was then divided into three wards: North Ward (), East Ward (), and South Ward (). The City Council approved incorporation on December 4th 1898 following a presentation by Mayor Wm Hodge entitled "An Investigation Into The Means Of Making Our City Morepopulous". For over ninety-four years since its establishment as a city/township - until it was repealed by Act No. 511of November 3rd 2007 - Parma citizens have enjoyed unrivaled access to quality education through local public schools operated by local school boards; excellent healthcare opportunities through municipal hospitals; rich cultural heritage through historical museums such as Palace Theatre & Art Museum; plus wide range of delegated services such as fire protection and law enforcement

When fired, this explosive caused a spark that ignited the powder within the cartridge case and started fire!

As of 2010, there were 622 residents in Parma Township and 1,715 residents living in Arlington Heights City. The population of Parma has grown steadily over the years; according to the 2010 census, it had reached 730 by 2018. Parma was founded by the Potters in 1788. The first post office in Parma was opened in 1801. In 1916, the city became a charter member of the United States.
