North Royalton, Ohio is a small town in the U.S. state of Ohio. The population was 2,814 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Cleveland-Akron-Canton, OH Metropolitan Statistical Area. North Royalton is located on the eastern edge of Youngstown Township and shares borders with Summit Township to the north, Warren Township to the east, and Lorain Township to the south. The first permanent settler in what would become North Royalton was John Ladd who erected a cabin on what is now Main Street in 1814. After some years he sold his land to Abraham Lincoln for $800 dollars which made him one of the earliest investors in what would become North Royalton. In 1830, Andrew Jackson was elected President and ordered his soldiers stationed along the border of Youngstown and Lorain Townshipsto remove all Native Americans from their holdings without giving them an opportunity to surrender or return home So when John Ladd saw new land being developed around him he decided it was time for him to move too He purchased 640 acres (248 hectares) southeast of downtown Youngstown from James Purdy for $2,000 in 1836 This area became known as "Ladd's Prairie". The first post office opened in this location on November 8th, 1840 The name "NorthRoyalton" appeared on a map dated January 1st, 1845 but no record exists of its use until after that date when it changed to "NorthRoyalton." A post office operated at NorthRoyalton from 1850 until 1907 . By 1870 there were only 10 residents living in downtownYoungstown while over 100 people lived scattered throughout rural areas surrounding town including Ladd's Prairie which had over 400 residents by 1920 . In 1909 Northwestern Mutual Insurance Co., then called American Trust & Home Loan Company Ltd., moved its headquarters from Cleveland into what later became North Royalton because insurance rates were becoming prohibitively expensive in other cities during this time period . At this time most businesses closed as World War I began and many employees went off to fight however many families continued farming across three Congressional districts apportioned among America according To this system farmers producedsurplus food that provided both men and women with an income they could spend elsewhere

The town was named after King George III of Great Britain and his wife Queen Charlotte of Hanover. North Royalton is located on the north side of the Cuyahoga River between Cleveland and Akron. The first permanent settler in what is now NorthRoyalton was Nicholas Hough in 1795. He built a cabin on the banks of the Cuyahoga River and named it "Hough's Ferry." By 1812 there were eleven buildings in North Royalton with a total population of thirty-six people. In 1814 Nicholas Hough married Elizabeth White who also lived in North Royalton at that time. Elizabeth was from an old English family which had settled in this area before Confederation when Ohio became a state. Elizabeth's great-grandfather had been one of three men (the others being David Wilkinson and John Swenning) who took control of land grants given to them by General Simon Johnson during the platting process that led to creation of Ohio as a state in 1802. In 1816 Nicholas Hough bought out his wife's share in their home and moved to what is now Highland Heights where he died two years later at the age of sixty-seven years old. His death left behind four children - Nicholas (1815-1904),Elizabeth (1817-1893), Martha Jane (1820-1910) and Edwin Jameson (1823-1900). Nicholas' father Edwin Jameson had arrived in America from Ireland about 1800 with his parents, siblings, cousins and other relatives when he was only six years old; he would go on to become one of America's most successful entrepreneurs; eventually owning more than 100 businesses including mills, hotels, groceries stores and lumberyards throughout northeastern Ohio river valleys from Canton downriver to Sandusky Bayou near Toledo; under his leadership – many keystones for our economy were laid during those early days such as canal construction starting up around 1840 – Native American labor gradually replaced European labor throughout northeastOhio during this period;Jameson always believed passionately that economic development could never come about without racial equality regardless[1] Enoch Strong served as both Mayor pro tem for Stark County from 1860 until 1861 then again from 1865 until 1870 while serving concurrently as prosecuting attorney general since county government within Stark County did not vest with either office until 1861 when Indiana Territory was created concurrent with Stark County .
