North Ridgeville is a small town in the state of Ohio. The population was 5,824 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Akron-Canton, Ohio Metropolitan Statistical Area. North Ridgeville is located on the edge of Trumbull County, just south of Akron and east of Canton. The first people to live in what is now North Ridgeville were Native Americans who hunted and gathered wild plants and animals near present day Trumbull Lake. In 1814, General Winfield Scott's army passed through this area as they made their way northward from Battle Creek during the American Civil War. Cattle drives took place here until about 1870 when a railroad was built that brought industry and jobs to the area. In 1876, James Fenton purchased 640 acres (248 hectares) of land in what is now North Ridgeville from Nicholas Sayer for $2,000 cash. He named it "Fenton's Ford" after his father-in-law, General James Fenton Sr., who had donated the land to him in 1875. The village that grew up around Fenton's Ford soon became known as North Ridgeville after Fenton's home town in England where he had been born and raised. Most residents here emigrated from England during this time; however, a few also came from Canada and other parts of America looking for opportunity and better lives than they found back home. When World War I started in 1914, many people living along Trumbull Lake turned out to help fight on both sides because there was no other choice given where they were located at that time. After war ended in 1918, many farmers returning home found their homes destroyed by fire or taken over by squatters while others continued farming but did not have access to either water or markets so their crops failed miserably due to lack of inputs such as fertilizer or seed! Since then there have been several attempts by various groups (including The United Methodist Church) to revive agriculture here which has failed every time because most residents are too busy with workaday life outside or too interested in joining religious organizations dedicated exclusively to agriculture which are difficult or impossibleto join without leaving their homes! It wasn't until 2001 when members of an agricultural organization called A Better Life Organization decided to start growing crops again on some property adjacent to Fenton's Ford; however this attempt also failed due largely to lack of resources (the land itself cannot be cultivated without expensive equipment) as well as fear that those invested would leave if things didn't go well since success generally follows investment! In fact one member even left his job working for Google Earth development company Dreamstime LLP so he could focus more attention on helping A Better Life Operation succeed! Finally after 10 years trying different techniques including getting government funding (which has always been elusive), networking with friends/family living nearby etc., A Better Life Organization achieved approval from Trumbull County Commissioners last week for construction beginning next year on a $5 million dollar high tech farm specifically designed for raising vegetables!!! This is HUGE news not only because it finally brings stability & hope back into our community but because it will mean we can finally get fresh produce all summer long instead Of buying items pre-packaged like we do currently!!!!!

North Ridgeville is a city in the U.S. state of Ohio, west of Dayton and east of Cleveland. The population was 9,392 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat for Hamilton County. North Ridgeville was founded in 1814 by Captain James Kapp and settlers from New York City as part of a land grant to Colonel John Sellers from the British Crown. The first post office in North Ridgeville was established on July 3, 1814, by Captain James Kapp with the name "Newburgh". The town originally lay within what is now Hamilton County but it was annexed by that county in 1836. In 1830, Judge Lorenzo Hennepin organized a platting party which located what is now North Ridgeville on land grants given to him by General Anthony Wayne and Major General David Logan. In 1834, North Ridgeville became one of six townships formed into Union Township under the control of the Ohio Territory government. On January 1, 1840, it attached itself to that new township; on February 17th it became one hundred fifty-sixth section (and future city) of Cincinnati when that territory was organized as part of the new United States Government following its formation from seven settlements comprising Northwest Ohio created during the Mexican War. The city's origins can be traced back even further - to November 10th 1850 when three men named Wm., Peter and George Prescot set out from Independence Township carrying nothing more than their sleeping bags intending only to extend an invitation for trade along High Street between North Ridgeville and Bellefontaine Village – they ended up becoming known as "The Three Musketeers" after their discovery of an abandoned Indian encampment four miles north-west along High Street which they called Old Fort Niagara (later renamed Beechview Heights). These early pioneers arrived at what would become North Ridgeville just before Christmas 1850 proclaiming "Here We Are!" As times changed so did life here at home & soon small businesses flourished while downtown grew rapidly! After years struggling with large debtors’ courts & being forced out due to competition from larger cities—the original planters finally got help through legislation passed in 1862 giving them 2% ownership in all public enterprises including schools—a group led by Mayor Lemuel Nevin began building what would become known as The Mansion House; this helped revive downtown business somewhat but still couldn't keep up withgrowing needs such as sewers or water systems! Finally getting some help from President Abraham Lincoln’s administration who loaned $30K towards construction—which included acquiring beer barrels & hiring local builders (& later residents) like Hiram Sibley who designed & built many famous landmarks like The palace @ Versailles On October 15th 1870 US Post Office reopened #2 receiving mail via stagecoach until 1895 when express service began providing airmail During World War II over 80% employment came thanks to America's need for soldiers both male & female! Many veterans returned home widowed/widowering children etc.—generally speaking families had more access than ever before to education then most Americans today! This has always been a special focus here at NWO HQ especially because we have many military family members living here too!! WWII also helped bring development downtown which included several movie theaters etc.—all open 24/7 until shortly after V-E Day KTOWN quickly emerged as one of America’s most vibrant commercial districts serving everything ‘from foodstuff thrutotickets’ not forgetting music performances& other events!! Today NWO HQ remains one of America’s top tourist attractions trying hard not To let our WWII history fester!!!
