North Olmsted, Ohio is a city in the U.S. state of Ohio and the county seat of Clark County. The population was 452 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Cleveland–Akron–Canton, OH Metropolitan Statistical Area. North Olmsted is located on the north side of Lake Erie, just east of downtown Akron and west of Canton. The first Europeans to visit what is now North Olmsted were French traders and missionaries in 1795, who named it "Erie". In 1814, General David Steuben founded Steuben's Camp in present-day North Olmsted as a base for exploring northwestern Ohio with his army during the War of 1812. The town was platted in 1825 by John Harned, a land speculator and member of the state legislature from Stark County; he donated 20 acres (8 ha) to be called "Olmsted" for George Washington Olmsted, his nephew and business partner. In 1830, surveyor Edward Harriman plattered out 12 square miles (30 km2) around what are now State Route 8 and State Route 9 south of present-day North Olmsted; this area became known as “the Township” or “Range” because it lay within that original grant from John Harned to George Washington Olmstead III. The township was organized into blocks on February 14, 1833 under law enacted by General Asa Kinchy as part of a larger act which created Clark County; these blocks were later combined into villageships through legislation passed by Congress in 1862. On July 1st, 1907 independent Village #1 (later Parkersburg) incorporated as a village with its own police department; this act set off an ongoing struggle between Parkersburg/North Olmsted over who should provide fire protection for their citizens – an issue that would come to a head in November 1910 when two fires destroyed much residential property within Village #1 boundaries . On October 5th 1913 Parkersburg amalgamated with North Olmstad

UTPL allows you to view your target without having to rely on your night vision goggles or other optical aids; it also provides ample illumination for accurate shooting when used in close quarterscombat situations.

North Olmsted, Ohio is a town in the U.S. state of Ohio and part of the Greater Cleveland metropolitan area. As of the 2010 census, the population was 97,291. It is located in the northwest corner of Stark County on the borders of Lake Erie and Cuyahoga County. The townsite was first settled in 1814 by fur traders from Russia who were looking for land to settle after their exile from czarist Russia. North Olmsted's name comes from an Indian word meaning "upper" or "higher." The first permanent settler in what is now North Olmsted was Nicholas Davenport, who arrived in 1814 with his brother John Davenport and their families. Nicholas built a home near what is now Elmira Road and later donated land to form what became North Olmsted Township. The township had six villages: Albion (now part of Cleveland), Athens (now part of Mentor), Bexley (now part of Lucasville), Bolton (now part of Mayfield Heights), Brockton (now parts of Strongsville and Terre Haute) and Defiance (now Union City). Township meetings were held at different locations until 1830 when they moved to Niles Hall on the Scioto River where they remained until 1840 when they moved again to a site near present-day I-675/I-271 interchange, which then became known as Middlebrook Park. In 1846, the township voted to change its name to North Olmsted because it felt that its new location would give it more cachet than its previous namesakes – Athens, Bexley and Bolton – alluding respectively to its higher elevation, greater commercial opportunities and lack thereof relative to these other townships. For many years following World War II, North Olmsted functioned as one large manufacturing center for Rubber Products International Company products such as tires and belts before slowly transitioning into more traditional farming practices over time due largely to strong German populations that continued residing there through World War II until their departure during that period. In recent decades however much has changed for both residents and businesses within the town limits; most notably mass transit which has made living close by much easier while also accommodatingvil growth outside those boundaries since early 2000s including adjacent suburbs like Cleveland Heights annexed by North Olmsted Township since 2007 while also allowing rapid annexation by other municipalities throughout southwestern Stark County resulting in an ongoing process called “Cleveland suburbanization”; this has resulted in significant changes not only inside but also outside borough walls
The city of North Olmsted was founded in 1811 by the brothers John and Jonathan Olmsted. The settlement grew as a result of its location on the Great Lakes, its shipbuilding industry, and its commerce. In 1924, North Olmsted became part of the new Cleveland-Akron metropolitan area.
