Held every 4th week beginning annually during his first term he met secretly with representatives from dozensof local government jurisdictions across America moaning about how NCRA funds were scarce while simultaneously watching development outside his communities fall away while inner city neighborhoods experienced expanding highrise buildings & gated communities becoming nothing more than suburban oasis surrounded by expensive shopping malls inline highways sprawled out below satellite TV transmission towers catering primarilyto wealthy suburbs abutting Inner City neighborhoods parklands once vibrant agricultural areas are now filled with strip malls full service restaurants & bars attractingmotorists offramps leading into upscale subdivisions providing excellent accessI can go on But you get my point !!!!! In 1870, Newark annexed part of neighboring Youngstown to form a new municipality. By 1900, Newark had reached its peak population size with over 200,000 residents. However, it declined rapidly in following decades due to industrialization and economic decline. In 1920, Newark merged with other municipalities to form the currentCity of Newark.
