On October 10, 1835, it became part of the newformed Union County. In 1837, Union County was divided into Jackson and Ottawa counties and Montgomery became part of Ottawa County. On February 14, 1847, Montgomery incorporated as a village. In 1860, Knox county was formed from parts ofUnion and Ottawa counties; Montgomery remained part of Knox until January 3, 1870 when it became part of Lawrence county. On November 5th 1865 Lewis Cass Ulysses S Grant visited Montgomeryschool which he attended for three years before becoming President in 1868 He also visited Trinity Episcopal Church which he had been to as a child

Ammunition has been used for everything from self-defense to waging war. Today, there are various types of ammunition available on the market, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. The following is a comprehensive look at ammunition history, including an overview of how it has been used over the years. Included in this article are brief excerpts from three classic books about ammunition: "The History of Ammunition" by Lewis Hill; "Munitions: Their Use and Misuse" by Walter Bagehot; and "Towards A New History of Ammunition" by Professor John Keegan. Each book provides unique insights into the origins and evolution ofmunitionary technology. From ancient Greece through medieval times, different types of artillery were needed to defeat enemy forces in battle. To arm these cannons, Reloaders had to find ways to store enough rounds so they could be fired again as needed without running out before the next battle started or having them fall into enemy hands during negotiations or peace treaties after hostilities had ended. In order to meet these needs Reloaders turned to man-portable reloading systems (PMRs) which relied on someone else walking across open ground carrying all required ammo supplies for one or more guns while firing off rounds from their gun's magazine (Fig 1). These systems were not only inconvenient but also dangerous because anyone who attempted to fire any rounds must cross between two high walls close enough together so that everyone would have a clear line of sight down both guns rather than taking cover behind either weapon while someone else loaded his/her round(s). PMRs finally fell out favor in the 1850s when cartridge breechloading firearms became more common and muzzle loading firearms became more prevalent (Figs 2 & 3).

Montgomery was founded in 1795 by George Washington and his brothers, James and John. It was the first settlement in what is now Ohio. The town became a county seat in 1827 and was renamed Montgomery after General Montgomery who helped suppress the Whiskey Rebellion of 1811. In 1837, the county seat moved to Dayton. The population of Montgomery peaked at 10,000 in 1907 but declined to 6,500 by 1935. Today it has a population of 3,000. Montgomery is located on the Scioto River about 25 miles west of Cleveland. It lies along Route 5 north of downtown Dayton and includes parts of the Scioto Valley area including Marble Hill and Bellefontaine Heights. The surrounding countryside is rich with soils made up of sand, clay and gravel that have been used for agriculture, grazing and housing since beforeveland arrived on the scene. A number of small villages dot the landscape: Bluemont (population 2), Highfield (population 4), White Oak Hills (2), Maple Shade (5), Worthington (7) and much smaller ones such as Beechwood (1). The early settlers were farmers who grew corn, beans, peas and other vegetables; raised horses; mined coal; quarried limestone; milled lumber; cut stone for churches and government buildings; operated gristmills for flourand sugar; manufactured potteryand ceramics from local materials until about 1920 when all manufacturing stopped due to economic difficulties caused by World War I changes in technology
Montgomery was founded in 1795 and became a town in 1801. In 1815, Montgomery was annexed by Cleveland and became a part of the new state of Ohio. The population of Montgomery grew rapidly during the 19th century and by 1900 it had reached around 20,000 people. During World War I, Montgomery served as an important military depot for the war effort. After the war, the population increased even more and in 1922 they formed their own city government. In 1957, Montgomery seceded from Cleveland and became its own independent city.
