Miamisburg, Ohio is a small town in Northwest Ohio. It was founded in 1814 by the family of Nicholas Miamis and it became an incorporated community in 1920. The population was 5,992 as of the 2010 census. This small town is located on the western edge of the Sandusky Valley and is surrounded by agricultural land. The economy revolves around manufacturing, with a significant share being accounted for by agriculture and sporting goods. Manufacturing companies have included Deere, Champion, Ford, Singer Sewing machines, John Deere tractors, Pella Plastics and more. Miamisburg has a rich history that can be traced back to its early settlers. Nicholas Miamis had come to America from Hungary in 1811 and started trading goods along the Great Lakes region before moving his family to what is now Miamisburg. He founded a tannery here in 1814 and soon began producing leather products for local use as well as exporting them to other parts of the United States. His son Nicholas Jr., who also grew up here, continued his father's business until he died in 1868 at the age of 80 years old. Nicholas III took over operations after his father's death but sold it to Elisha Weiland in 1903 when Miamisburg reached its peak population size of over 10,000 people. The first post office opened in 1814 and served portions of what are today University Heights (northwest side), Oakland Township (southwest corner), Mount Pleasant Township (southeast corner), Black Walnut Township (southwest corner) and Westmoreland Township (northwest corner). In 1920, Miamisburg became an incorporated community under state law following ratification of the National Civic Federation Charter amendment which granted residents certain civil liberties such as representation on city councils etc.. The community currently has 6 villages- Addison Village (east side), Baldwin Village (central area), Bedford Village (northern area), Camp Hill Village(southern area), Clarkstown Village(western area)and Harrison village(eastern area). According to 2010 census data there were 4136 residents living within this incorporated community; 3% African American/Black & non-Hispanic whites; 12% Hispanic or Latino; 73% white Protestant Christians; 2% Catholic; 1% Muslim; 0% Buddhist ; 0% Sikh ; 0% Other religious affiliation not reported . It should be noted that while statistics attributing these figures vary according to time period or source – overall rates for various religious affiliations within this community have remained relatively consistent across different censuses throughout recent decades (.90%, .92%, .94%, .96%). There are few examples where vital demographic information about specific communities cannot be gathered due to lack thereof – however some reports suggest that this percentage may be lower than average given current trends towards diversity among residents urban areas across North America

Miamisburg is a small town in the U.S. state of Ohio, located in Maumee Township. The population was 3,584 at the 2010 census. Miamisburg is part of the Lima–Summit–Muncie, OH Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first settler to arrive in what is now Miamisburg was John Denton on November 5, 1796. Denton had come overland from Pennsylvania and built a cabin on his farm near present-day Elmira. A few years later he married Mary Snider and they moved to what is now the town of Ottawa in Trumbull County. John Denton's son James Denton arrived in 1802 and started farming near where Miamisburg stands today. He named his farm "Denton's Landing". In 1812 James Denton married Anna Mayfield, also from Ottawa; their children were Hannibal (1814-1892), Andrew (1816-1884), George (1819-1900), Charles (1821-1920), Martha Jane (1824-1906) and Myra Jane (1827-1910). In 1825 William Cook founded a gristmill onthe site of what is now known as Cooksville which became an important stop for farmers travelling between Athens, Ohio and Cincinnati, Indiana during the early days of railroad travel. By 1830 there were five mills operating in Miamisburg: Cooksville Mill, Wm Hargrave Mill, Henderson Mill/Dennis Mill & Grist & Coal Company mill #1&2; Elmira Mills Co., Gifford Coal Yard & Coke Works; and Empire Coal Yard & Coke Works #1&2]. In 1836 Adam Lowry purchased land east of present day Miamisburg along with other settlers including John Kappeler who had settled there earlier that year and Phebe Ann Stewart from Portsmouth in Summit County for $4 per acre ($50 total). Lowry constructed a log courthouse which served as the legal center for the area until it burned down in 1861 while being used as a military barracks by Union soldiers under General Ulysses S Grant during the American Civil War. Afterward construction began on another courthouse which was completed by 1865 but it also burned down soon after its completion leaving only foundations standing today.. This courthouse standeth still converted into apartments!
